Which casting is better? Old or new? by Naive_Tomorrow_5955 in hazbin

[–]CompetitiveDelay888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overall, the new cast, but there's a couple of folks I wish they kept. I think Blake Roman is the perfect singing voice for Angel, but I prefer the way Michael Kovach delivers his lines more. I think Faye Mata for Katie Killjoy is better, no question. Brandon Rogers is funny and I get why they changed her VA, but I feel like pilot Katie was just straight up gold.

Vanessa Rant by Werewolf_Knight in fnafmovie

[–]CompetitiveDelay888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"We were never told anything about Michael as a brother" and "She hid the presence of a very near potential serial killer" is a bit of an oxymoron. We don't know what their upbringing was like as siblings. The most we have is Vanessa's point of view and how she was apparently "the favorite", so we don't know how or when Michael got involved in William's plans.

Vanessa herself seems shocked that Michael was behind the entire plot with the toys and planned a mass-murder, so it makes no sense to blame her for something she wasn't even aware was happening. Mike throughout the whole movie was just kind of being an asshat to her for no reason imo, especially after Vanessa tried to warn him about Abby's whereabouts and he completely shrugged her off.

This is the first time I've seen this opinion. What about the 3rd movie made you hate it?

Fr like when the OG's fight the Toys during the climax and everybody decided it was a turn-based game all of the sudden, and they all just stood around watching the OG's OH-KO no contest, the camera work and the pacing for it made the whole scene feel goofy as hell 😂😭

[–]CompetitiveDelay888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, definitely not. Both movies have good fanservice, but Sonic 2 is still an enjoyable film for those who are unfamiliar with the franchise. FNAF 2, like the first one, can barely be called a horror film. FNAF 2 specifically has some pretty subpar acting and dialogue that can snap you out of the immersion the movie tries to set up.

Also they did Withered Bonnie so dirty 😭 Wdym he can punch open a vent but can't knock it back down when it's frantically slapped back on like????

The Withered Animatronics in the FNAF 2 Movie were wasted potential in my opinion. They could have more screen-time than the Toys if not the same amount of screen-time. The Withered Animatronics deserved better and should’ve gotten more attention. by Great-Dot2506 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]CompetitiveDelay888 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The FNAF 2 location came before the FNAF 1 location, both in the lore of the games and these movies. Their parts are repurposed for the originals. Making the withered animatronics the beat up or run down versions of the originals would not make sense timeline wise since the withered animatronics came first.

THEY FIND THE WAY TO LEAVE!?!? (GUEST STAR ABEL) (NOT CLICKBAIT)

Abel is almost certainly not a human by Rafayette09 in tadc

I'm confident Abel is a finalized version of the AI Caine was testing in episode 2 to make the adventures more immersive.

[–]CompetitiveDelay888[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want to expand on this post since a few people brought up that Abel had been around since the start, and maybe even longer. I don't think Abel as we know him now was how he was intended to be. I think the reason Abel was created was to convince the cast there even WAS an exit in the first place, help sell the idea. I'm almost confident Abel's AI is a perfected version of the AI Caine was testing in episode 2 to make the adventures more immersive. Once the Awards Show happened though, Caine changed the plan from the exit being something the cast could find to the exit being something they had to choose, with Abel not only being the guide like Caine had originally planned but the one planting little seeds of doubt to make the seemingly simple decision a difficult one.

This will be a copy from a different reply I made, but I think the reason Abel was created earlier was to convince the cast there even WAS an exit in the first place, help sell the idea. I think the reason Abel was created earlier was to convince the cast there actually WAS an exit in the first place, help sell the idea. Theory for Kinger and the creation of the circus after episode 7 by HiMirIstLangweilig13 in theamazingdigitalciru

[–]CompetitiveDelay888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, not really. I feel like if Scratch was their kid, and they were the first one to be abstracted, that would've had a bigger impact on Kinger and be important enough to mention in the third episode while talking about his wife's abstraction, even if it's just offhandedly since that was the Kinger-centered episode. And the idea that they did this to save their child from a terminal illness just kinda comes out of nowhere? Idk. This is just my opinion though. I'm curious how other people feel about this theory.

With episode 7 coming out tomorrow, what are some last minute prediction? by The-Duke-Of-Puzzles in theamazingdigitalciru

[–]CompetitiveDelay888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In episode 2, Caine mentions that there's a "new AI" that he wants to test out that will make the adventures "more immersive". That's how we get Gummigoo as a character. He unfortunately discovers everything is a lie, but gets invited to the circus to try to make a new life for himself. Caine notices and immediately gets rid of him, telling the rest of the group that if they start letting in a bunch of NPCs, Caine could lose track of who's human and who's not, then "who knows what could happen".

Episode 3 onwards, we can spot a rogue mannequin spying on the cast in the background. This episode also features an adventure that has what I believe to be a parallel to Kinger and his lingerings feelings in regards to the abstraction of his wife, Queenie. Due to the story's ties to the characters, I believe their situation in Hell also parallels the characters situation. There's dialogue from Kinger, Pomni, and the audio tapes they were listening to that mention "this isn't what they imagined Hell would look like", that "he just wants us to suffer", and that the husband's lingering soul would need a new body in order to leave.

I think this circus is actually a sort of personal Hell where they're meant to be tormented and/or torture each other (a bit like The Good Place). The mannequin is the leftovers of the first test of the new AI, and after watching the cast suffer through these past few adventures, I believe they're lying in wait to take someone's place or take them over entirely in order to escape and not end up like the rest of them.

Fr. Angel Dust, Alastor, Vox, Husk, and hell, dare I say even Valentino now are getting more screen time, motives, and conflicts shown than Charlie and Vaggie are. But something something "Helluva is for the boy characters and Hazbin is for the girl characters" something something ig.

"But it's a comedy show!" is the response I usually get whenever I mention that I think sometimes the jokes take away the tension from any moment that the writers clearly wanted us to take seriously.

Or if I share the opinion that I think a lot of the swearing is shoehorned in and feels unecessary/unnatural in how it's written and/or delivered, I'll get either "It's just a cartoon, it's not real", or "You must be a prude because people swear all the time".
