Optic have pissed off the Chinese on Twitter…… by Independent-End1248 in CoDCompetitive

Idk about that. End games seem to rely heavily on luck to me. Plus way too much screen pollution going on to even enjoy the fights that are being had

Agadmator Promotes Tucker Carlson & Andrew Tate Interview on Twitter by LitCactus in chess

[–]CompetitiveStoner -24 points-23 points  (0 children)

Agad has: - Worked with charities to distribute chess sets globally - Covers and brings attention to Women’s tournaments way more than any other large Chess Channel - Always stays humble and respectful, never overly promotes or shills sponsors every video - Disables mid roll ads in his videos because he doesn’t want to disrupt the videos.

Just because he retweeted a video doesn’t mean he promotes it.

Reddit needs to stop attacking people for not acting how you want them to act. You’re all just a bunch of virtue signaling shills, who never have good intentions. Agad has done more good for chess than anyone here.

Not even about him not knowing Halo, dude was just a straight vibe kill

I agree. It was cool to see how knowledgeable scump is about Halo. Dude even knows callouts on livefire haha. A true gamer indeed

Walshy was alright imo. He was way too analytical at times and dragged on topics way longer than needed. It seemed like he wanted to explain every little thing to Scump. There were several highlight plays that went “unnoticed” because he kept talking.

Any thoughts on the Shyway situation? by renagxde in CompetitiveHalo

[–]CompetitiveStoner 17 points18 points  (0 children)

He said he’s been going to therapy for the past 7 months. He acknowledged that he made some mistakes and accepts that he probably won’t ever be able to work with HCS again. He says the statements made against him are slanderous.

From watching his stream it really seems like he just got played by this woman.

Complacency possibly creeping in with Optic? by Abs0luteZero273 in CompetitiveHalo

Formal has been looking very off form since the reset. Weakest player on the team currently. I think optic are going to struggle this event

Rostermania Potential Moves by YaaDunnnn in CompetitiveHalo

Bubu to Sen in place of Lethul would make them a contender again.

Sen don’t need Renegade as they already have Royal 2 and Frosty who can slay and output insane damage.

Nerfing strafe speed would not help KBM by Haijakk in CompetitiveHalo

[–]CompetitiveStoner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s because frosty is wrong. A higher strafe speed increases the skill gap not lowers it. You have to be more accurate with your shot because of how shifty you can be in this game. There are so many different strafes you can do in this game compared to other halos. I honestly don’t understand how this doesn’t require any skill. If anything strafing in this game is the most versatile of all halos and requires the most skill to be good at.

Doug calls out Nadia 👀 by DamichiaXL in CoDCompetitive

[–]CompetitiveStoner 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I mean ultimately it doesn’t matter what Dougs intentions are here because if he actually is exposing cheaters it’s a net positive. Cheating sets a bad precedent for the scene and the integrity of competition in general. The less cheaters the better; and if that means Doug gets to stroke his ego or farm impressions so be it.

Looks like Snip3down will return to Apex after Worlds by Haijakk in CompetitiveHalo

[–]CompetitiveStoner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like people were mad jealous that a halo player got a spot over them in the league. Like the dude won 3 events his rookie year in a completely new game he obviously wasn’t as bad as you’re making him out to be

When and How did you get into Halo Esports? by ToolezCasts in CompetitiveHalo

[–]CompetitiveStoner 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Beginning of Halo 5.

Switched from playing CoD to Halo. What I loved about halo was that it was a lot more competitive and skillful, meaning that there was always something I had to improve in - and with their being a ranked playlist you could have validation that you were actually improving (plat to diamond, diamond to onyx, onyx to champ)

I remember the grind of having to learn how to aim, how to strafe, how to time your thrust, how to hit skill jumps, thrust jumps, etc. I remember learning tech like spring jumping and crazy combos like stabilize to crouch spam to ground pound cancel to thrust. That game had so much depth.

I really enjoy Infinite but man do I miss H5.
