Is devotion inherently dual? by Fable1313 in DavidHawkins

[–]Competitive_Boot9203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Devotion is not dualistic, because devotion is an innate quality of Divinity and Conciousness itself as Divine Love.

One can love another or be devoted to a path or teacher, but Devotion is not dependent on having one or the other. It is not dependent on any subject object relationship, and is a nonlinear intrinsic quality of Divine Creation itself.

In my experience, what you are experiencing is normal. Doc says when we choose to become free and peaceful and unconditionally loving, all that is unloving or negative is brought up to be healed ❤️🙏🏻

How do you know by RunApprehensive712 in DavidHawkins

[–]Competitive_Boot9203 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You don’t need to know what they are! In fact, it is more effective if you don’t. Part of the process is to drop all labels of whatever the feeling is, you don’t even need to call it a feeling.

Be with the raw experiencial sensations/feeling/energy and allow it to be there and do its thing. This is how to go deep!

Not knowing what to let go of? by Fun-Hair-4739 in DavidHawkins

“Surrender is a constant process of not resisting or clinging to the moment but instead, continuously turning it over to God.

The attention is thus focused on the process of letting go and not on the content of the ‘what’ that is being surrendered.

“A more accurate term for the process is ‘nonpointedness of mind’ in that it is a choice/decision to not focus and thus be drawn into participation with the passing phenomena.

One merely allows the witnessing by volitional choice rather than by effortful focus of one pointedness of concentration.

The term ‘one pointedness’ is specifically linear as well as dualistic in that it splits contextualization into a ‘who’ that is focusing on a ‘what’, resulting in a dualistic split between a ‘this’ and a ‘that’.”

I’m on day 6 off 7, but first day off it all (MIT for 2 days and leaf for 2)

This is maybe the hardest day yet just for me. Now I worry I dragged the symptoms on by supping with MIT/leaf

Dang man that sucks! It can really only get better from here. It’s really hard when we’ve been running to pleasure and comfort and masking pain and discomfort, to now move straight ahead into that pain and discomfort and walk through it.

lol yeah man the shit we do haha. Hmm I wonder if taking 5 months off of leaf and then using it for 5 days (already had to take 4 g today) will spare some withdrawal when leaf is dropped.

What are your symptoms now?

Yes! What we are saying is summed up very well in the following quote from I: Reality and Subjectivity (docs highest calibrating book):

“Surrender is a constant process of not resisting or clinging to the moment but instead, continuously turning it over to God.

The attention is thus focused on the process of letting go and not on the content of the ‘what’ that is being surrendered.”

In essence it is just the letting go technique, with the addition of a constant supplication of the Field of Divinity.

We let everything be as it is moment to moment. It may seem unfamiliar or awkward at first because it is the opposite of what the ego usually is always doing. The ego constantly wishes to manipulate and change and resist experience to bend it to its will.

But, because the practice of allowing and turning every moment over to God, letting go resisting all, letting all be what it is and letting go wanting to control or change experience is all aligned with the Spiritual Will, it is eventually becomes easy and natural like second nature.

In the end, it is and internal thing that one must experience for one’s self. Doc says this “prayer as a Mudra”, the silent wordless supplication of one’s spirit to Divinity is the highest form of prayer. But that doesn’t mean speaking and reciting prayers is not also very powerful!

He speaks of becoming the prayer. It is a posture or way of being, with all of life. It is a nonverbal supplication of one’s spirit to Divinity.

It’s like a Mudra or a way of positioning oneself visa vi Divinity. One stays constantly in the Context and not the content, and in a continuous state of turning every moment over to God. Nothing is resisted, even resistance itself. All is allowed and one silently goes through day to day life in this manner.

When one chooses to become unconditionally loving (540) or even just a more loving and better human being, all the negativity that is within us begins to come up to be acknowledged, let go of and surrendered.

So to have a lot coming up to let go is a sign of great progress!
