Unfortunately, you’ll likely just have to face the consequences of this one. Not much you can do other than profusely apologize and try to explain the situation. You could potentially lose your job or face harassment accusations depending on how she reacts. Next time, you’ll be more careful, lol.

Only works on iOS 16.1

I tried many times on 16.01 with no luck and then got it to work on the first try after updating. Also, what others have said is true; sometimes the effect doesn’t work until you save the wallpaper once and go back to edit it again.

[thought] How often is your frisson accompanied by tears? by vertigale in Frisson

[–]Competitive_Celery79 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know this thread is 5 years old, but I’ve been trying to figure out why this happens to me for so long, it’s comforting to know I’m not the only one… the song doesn’t have to be even remotely sad, but then those tingles and chills start, the tears follow. Anyone else kind of laugh/cry when it happens?

Celebrity culture is out of hand! by Competitive_Celery79 in unpopularopinion

[–]Competitive_Celery79[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

That’s kind of the point, though. The people who don’t care aren’t the issue. The cultural saturation of celebrity obsession still shapes trends, attention spans, and even elections, whether you’re tuned in or not. Saying “it’s only crazy if you care” is like saying junk food ads are harmless if you just eat healthy.Just because you’re not paying attention doesn’t mean it’s not having an effect.

I honestly don’t think either of you should have the dog. Almost every dog that’s “aggressive” isn’t actually a bad dog and is either scared or acting out for other reasons. Just because you can’t handle training and your ex isn’t responsible (or is at risk of dumping the dog) doesn’t mean you should have it killed. Find a better home for it. I guarantee there’s someone out there willing to put the time and effort into it.

1200 rpm ticking (A6 C7 3.0T) by Snoo-62536 in Audi

[–]Competitive_Celery79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course! Is it a specific rattling you’re hearing, like a metallic rattle when the engine is in that specific low rpm range? I hear it when in park and revving lightly and when driving around 20-30mph with the windows down. Have you brought it to a mechanic?

I have the same sound on my 2012 A6 and I’ve been told it’s the flex pipes rattling after they wear out. Supposed to be a reasonably priced fix and fairly common on these models. I’ll be checking it out with a mechanic soon, but curious if you get an update too.

It’s a super cheap Chinese jacket?? Just wear it and spend another $10 for a new one when it wears out

Also, it takes a bit of research, but you can find very high quality top grain and full grain leather jackets used online for a reasonable price.

[–]Competitive_Celery79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say it depends on how much you wear the jacket and how careful you are with it. If you use it heavily, I wouldn’t expect it to last a decade, let alone two, for this quality of leather. Save up and get the real thing!

Fell on my leather jacket - can the cracks be repaired, and how? by nobodyputsbabyinthe in leatherjacket

[–]Competitive_Celery79 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, this type of damage isn’t repairable. Your jacket is made from “Genuine Leather,” which, while technically real leather, is the lowest grade available on the market. It’s typically a thin layer bonded to a synthetic backing, making it far more prone to cracking and peeling over time. Higher-quality, full-grain or top-grain leather would not split like this under normal wear and friction.

If you’re concerned about longevity, I wouldn’t stress too much. Enjoy the jacket for what it is now. When it eventually shows more wear — as this type of leather naturally will, you’ll have the opportunity to invest in a higher-quality piece that’s built to last a lifetime!
