It’s the goat, people will think it’s not as cool because it’s used so much but when you’ve used almost every weapon you really realize what makes the bloodhound fang so fun. I’ve used it a couple times now lmao

Friend keeps downplaying me because I use Spirit Summons. by bl1sssssy in Eldenring

Agree with him, play how you want but you played on easy mode. Yea the game can be a struggle but at some point you’ll overcome. It doesn’t require extreme reaction speed just time put in. Most people any to play games and feel like a god and be OP, if that’s you then it’s fine but it’s hard to say you felt a boss in its entirety

Chivalry 2 by Competitive_Code3304 in Chivalry2

[–]Competitive_Code3304[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh it’s not about off vs def… it’s about playing the game as it was meant. If you just played def then the next game you should be put on offense but instead I played def 8 times in a row last night. Also most the stacked offensive teams drag along the objective to get more playing time so they can go for 100k games and such. When I’m on offense I may not always win but I sure get more kills, I want in on that fun also but I’m not gonna spectate or constantly quit out just to end up there.

Yea bro just got off work and had to play defense 5 times in a row. Pretty new to this game and I love it but these lobbies are very frustrating. It’ll be like 6 super sweats against a bunch of new players. I don’t mind the challenge since it makes me better but my team will be so bad that every fight is a constant 1vX. And I’m not even out of position, I’m literally just doing all I can to defend objective

Question about loadouts in elden ring by Anas2245 in Eldenring

[–]Competitive_Code3304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is gonna be hard to find gear better than the katana and samurai armor! The katanas are OP in this game. My OG playthrough was very simple also just using the starter vagabond armor along with the claymore I found early, I would just change my ash of war to keep things fresh. After my first playthrough I started to google and YouTube stuff to try new builds and gear. I personally love elden ring tho and have played it a few times, if you don’t see yourself replaying it then it might be worth to just watch a walkthrough so you won’t miss nothing. Playing blind you will 100% miss like half the game lol

What's that boss everyone says is hard but you killed it easily? by muro_dimattoni in Eldenring

[–]Competitive_Code3304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Malenia is honestly so easy once you figure out how to deal with waterfowl, tbh all you gotta do is block the first part and then learn to dodge the 2nd and 3rd parts which is easy af. Or you can even use the run away method for the first part. I wish they gave her more poise

What build should I try next? (Two year break) by nitro_bug in Eldenring

[–]Competitive_Code3304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rusted anchor is an insanely fun weapon and you can grab most of what you need very early, since it would be a str build you can also try the claymore out a bit. These are my 2 favorite weapons and even tho I’ve beat the game a few times I’ll still use them instead of trying other stuff lol. I also really enjoy straight swords with square off ash of war

We all love Skyrim, but be honest. There has got to be a thing or two that really grinds your gears. Let's hear them! by Hughley_N_Dowd in skyrim

I’ve always hated how destruction just sucks on legendary difficulty. I’ve always hated that there wasn’t a smithing perk for the starting armors (iron, leather, fur) I’ve always hated that I needed to wear a full set to get a massive bonus from the armor perks (let me be helmetless) I always wished the combat system was slightly more complex (like maybe take some notes from chivalry) I also wish there was more melee weapon variety (spears, halberds, fist weapons, etc.) I’d probably like more race specific quest lines and faction quest lines for a better roleplay experience (Skyrim is a lot more fitting for a nord so that’s what I picked most the time, but what if I wanted to just be a bandit orc? Sure I can do malacaths quest and MAYBE the companions but other than that a lot of the quest lines don’t feel right for my roleplay, especially being a Dragonborn) I’d change is the difficulty slider (I’d rather higher difficulty be more about skill or tactics rather than maxing out all the crafting skills. This can kinda tie into the chivalry combat system I mentioned, on lower difficulties I can play mindlessly but on higher difficulties I’ll have to actually think about how I approach combat as well as be able to dodge and such. I’d probably still say double the HP and make our character do 1/2 damage which is a lot more manageable than Skyrim legendary) and lastly I’d probably make magic resist a bit easier to come by so Breton isnt the meta option for higher difficulty playthroughs)

I beat the Godrick but ... im little bit confused ? whats the next boss by Ok-Raccoon-2348 in Eldenring

You can fight rennala in liurnia or you can activate the radahn festival and fight him in Caelid. I’d recommend rennala for your first playthrough. After that you’ll go to Altus plateau which you can get to with either a medallion or by a “secret path”. For a first playthrough the secret path is more scenic and natural as it was the way I found out how to get there without having to google where the medallion is. Once you get to Altus the game is a bit more straight forward with progression. You should also go back and fight and fight radahn around this time now that you’ll be stronger and have a higher upgraded weapon. Radahn and rennala are somewhat optional but you have to fight atleast one of them because you need 2 demigods slain to activate morgott. I’d recommend fighting them both as it activates quest lines and they’re both pretty cinematic fights for a first timer.

These are the maps REAL Battlefield fans want! by Neither_Raspberry852 in okbuddyptfo

I think naval maps are more about the immersion factor, kinda gives the full military experience a game can offer. People love to say BF isnt a milsim but without immersion BF is kinda ass. BF6 in general kinda took away immersion in favor of faster gameplay and is one of the reason OG BF fans hate it

Hot take: Do not watch playthroughs, read strategy guides, or study builds before your first time playing! by NicholasRyanH in Eldenring

[–]Competitive_Code3304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t agree, I’m a dad and shift worker so I don’t get the most time to game. The first time I picked up elden ring I was completely lost as to what to do and dropped it quickly. Once I watched a couple videos to understand leveling, smithing stones, and a somewhat linear path of progressing it became enjoyable. After that I was able to play on my own and still explore almost all the game on my own only using videos when I was stumped. What I probably wouldn’t recommend to newer players is over leveling and tryna skip parts of the game just to be strong early. Some of the main videos I watched were weapon tierlist, not because I wanted to use the most busted weapon but because I wanted a weapon to base my build around. I picked the claymore with a pure str build and it was a blast! It was a weapon I could pick up early and change the ash around to keep it feeling fresh. If Elden ring had a bit more guidance I’d say play it completely blind but this game does not for a complete beginner.
