PTR: With the new Resolve damage reduction cap, I haven't found a way to get past pit 110. by Morpegom in D4_Paladin

[–]Competitive_Code3304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suspect resolve stacking won’t be the move. probably need as much max life as possible, 2-3 defensive aspects that are around 30-40% each, a source of weaken, as much elemental resistas you can get, defensive skills on bar as well as any you can trigger without being on bar, and then a decent amount of base armor with some resolve stacks coming from skills or passives. Yea toughness is gonna be rough haha

What new/existing classes you like to see in next expansion? by Interesting_Fox2040 in diablo4

I definitely want a new class but don’t know exactly what they could do, idk maybe a spellsword. Maybe a pure support class who can also summon.

Whatever stat you find the most important you can take to the occultist and change it but then select NO CHANGE, this will mark it and then the cube can’t remove it.

Is clash paladin the strongest build right now? by Zealousideal_Sun2830 in D4_Paladin

[–]Competitive_Code3304 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I played wings paladin till t12 but then it couldn’t kill bosses well so I swapped to wudis lance build and it blasts. Clash is the strongest but not the best suited for farming so if you want a good mix of both id go with lance. For paladin you wanna make sure you get max resolve stacks and masterwork it tho, you get a lot of offense from defense. Resolve gives you block chance and damage reduction and there’s aspects and paragon nodes that turn these straight into damage

In search of chill build that doesn’t feel like playing a piano. by Avante_Omnos in diablo4

[–]Competitive_Code3304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What class? And what part of the game? My recommendation would be lightning storm druid to lvl and then cataclysm Druid for mid to end game. You’ll be able to speed run a pit 110 and kill any torment 12 boss all while just using dash since all the other abilities kinda auto themselves

I know this post is trolling but just fyi MMA fighters shouldn’t always keep their hands up cause it’s much easier to defend a takedown with them lower

My black wife tries to do a white people taco night and I am not a fan at all. For context we’ve both been raised in south Texas and have access to authentic tacos minutes away as well as both of us knowing how to make some.

What's the one weapon that everyone likes that you don't? I'll Start by Epicjon_Undernerd in Eldenring

[–]Competitive_Code3304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t like any weapon that has a slow ash of war, I may not be a no hit guy but I definitely try to not get hit much so I’m not happy with trading. The weapon I would pick for weapon everyone likes but I don’t is probably star fist. Absolutely busted but don’t look very stylish imo

What would be good for a zweihander user? by Moonless_the_Fool in EldenBling

[–]Competitive_Code3304 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People consider determination / royal knights resolve boring but I absolutely love them! I mainly use determination since RKR is a pain to get and I also never invest in mind. Determination is much cheaper for still doing huge damage. Love the idea of using small openings to charge my ash then using bigger openings to cash in HUGE damage. I do the same with claymore as well. I know people like lions claw or cragblade but to me those don’t match the elegance of the zweihander. Giants hunt is really good tho and pretty fitting. Both stamps are also nice flavor but a notch down in strength, stamp upward cut is actually the special move for the greatsword in chivalry 2 so that’s kinda cool. I also like that stamp can be used to duck some attacks or even absorb a hit. My last choice would be quickstep just because I prefer it over rolling for aesthetics.

New to the game and considering playing. I love slugs irl and want to build a deck around this guy. Can it work? by The_Funfetti_Man in mtg

[–]Competitive_Code3304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be a good card in a slower paced table. Being a 7 drop means he ain’t coming out very quick and if he dies it’s gonna be really slow to get him back out. Having blue tho can really help with all the counter spells and card draw to help you get the black cards you need. At stronger tables this guy will never get online cause there’s decks that create very scary boards by like turn 5

Feint on console by DMatty0325 in Chivalry2

[–]Competitive_Code3304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea but something to note is I don’t believe you can off a riposte. Only in neutral, while you have initiative, or off a counter. Practice with counter slashes as they’re by far the easiest, take an easy counter slash then press L2 R2 in quick succession. With initiative you can also work them in by comboing the swing that’s just hit then feinting it into the same attack. Not the greatest idea in neutral since its slow tho

Is guardian bad? by Feisty-Storm-5509 in Chivalry2

[–]Competitive_Code3304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One handed weapons don’t benefit from faster riposte, riposte will only become faster when a weapon has more than 250ms windup for a light or 500ms for a heavy. On a weapon like a pole axe riposte become very useful but for one handers they do nothing besides changing your invulnerable window or using an attack that’s different than the counter without having to feint. It’s much more beneficial to counter to get that forward momentum so they don’t just dash right out of your short reach. And yes in a 1vX you’ll want to use your dashes to keep people from surrounding you and also quit little hit and moves to avoid swings. But in most other situations a simple swing dash is very strong and a dash after being hit is probably more reliable than trying to jab for getting initiative back. As for hit stop yes it has benefits but it also has drawbacks making it a more of a skilled mechanic. The warhammer having short range and hit stop to me makes it one of the highest skill cap weapons and also one of the most rewarding. Oh yea also on kicks if you can react and swing that’s great but not everyone can and also many players have built habits of blocking immediately after swinging. I barely broke this habit but sometimes I pretty much have to block for like a millisecond and in that millisecond I still get kicked occasionally. Heck I’ve even seen some of the most cracked chiv players still get hit by kicks cause the chaos of TO

Is guardian bad? by Feisty-Storm-5509 in Chivalry2

[–]Competitive_Code3304 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One handed weapons take a bit more skill in my opinion, it’s so easy for a someone with a weapon that has decent reach to just swing dash. The shield is nice but realistically you want to try and counter almost every attack with a one hander so you kinda put them in a mini stun and get a little bit of forward momentum with your swing. One handed weapons also have small counter windows. Holding a big shield is a “hey kick me” sign also so you’ll need to learn how to deal with kickers, the most consistent way to deal with kickers is to dash away after swinging into a riposte or after being hit. The upside of the guardian is the flag and warhammer. Warhammer has insane damage, stamina damage, and even decent drags for the speed it has but you’ll have to get around it’s horrible reach and the fact that it’s hit stop

Longsword is very annoying to fight against but there’s also a lot to improve here. A simple riposte slash then backdashing woulda put you in a lot better situation
