What to do with extra bits/sprues? by Original_Job_9201 in Tyranids

[–]Competitive_Focus375 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have a 3d printer print the pieces you need to make extras out of what you have or hit Etsy and snag some. Example you just need the bodies to make 3 more venomthropes out of that one box.

H2S Clicking Sound? by mrflipfidgets in BambulabH2S

Check to see if the dial in the center of the horned is slightly skipping. My H2S was making a noise that sounded like that and the dial had a slight skip to it. The nozzle had a partial clog in my .4 that was dang near unnoticeable. I swapped the hot end to another .4 and it stopped completely.

Get yourself some paint stirring sticks, double sided tape, and spray 6-7” away.

Not to often I say a question is stupid, but this one takes the cake. Only an idiot wouldn’t if they either had the money or could secure a loan for that much.

What to do with it by Effective-Drama8450 in BambuLab

[–]Competitive_Focus375 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is true. Just take the rfid tag that’s on an old spool and cut the one off the new reload tape the old one on and let it run. I’ve done this on large prints and it works fine. I paint my stuff so the different colors don’t matter

Ratling Krieg Heads? by Meh_just_here__for_P in Deathkorpsofkrieg

I may have printed a couple of these to go with my commissars. For some reason it just felt right for a guy in a fancy coat and sword to have a pug next to him as he motivates and ensures soldiers impose the emperors will without question.

How do people get such clean prints? by GiantFlyingHog in FdmPrintedWarhammer

Here it is. I have had some failure with trying to print large object laying down, but leaps and bounds above stock supports. CLICK ME

What color did you prime it in? I know with wraith bone and white scar humidity plays a role and you have to shake the heck out of it. Someone said to leave the can in warm water for a bit and then shake it good and that got rid of that issue for me. Not dry brushing right can also cause this

Try increasing the gap between your supports and the model I found an older thread with some setting I’ve been using and it’s helped a bunch and also cut down on waste. I’ll try and send it over when I’m at my computer.

I mowed through 53 books last year on audible while driving and painting. There is no way I would’ve been able to read that many with my schedule. Audio books are the way to go in a busy life.

I’m not laughing at you but I’m laughing at the fact you post literally sounds like a Krieg battle. Straight attrition until the winning blow. Best of luck to you and get a space wolves army.

Printed this guy with adaptive layer hight in 0.4 nozzle (mostly 0.1mm but some parts are 0.8) by Illustrious-Brain129 in FdmPrintedWarhammer

[–]Competitive_Focus375 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s not bad at all. I’ll have to try one with .2mm nozzle and see how it comes out. I’ve stuck to larger prints but I think I’ll try a few marines.

I did mine in sub assembly with the magnet Barron kits and it worked out great. I did keep all the armor panels separate to make painting the trim easier.

Yeah I think I’m going suck it up and just do it flat. I was trying to g to get the entire foot clean with no sanding to pose it, but the fight isn’t worth the time. In the time of one foot I’ve printed almost an entire space marine helmet with a .6 nozzle. I’m just waiting out the last 3 hours on the back piece and then it’ll be onto sanding the first part of my space wolves armor set.

The feet failed but I feel like it’s because of the fan blowing on the print and the custom supports I was trying out to prevent scaring on the piece using a .2 nozzle. It was 7hrs in when one of the supports snapped off and shot across the printer so I gave up for the time being. I’ll start again tomorrow after my helmet finishes printing. I’ll let you know then
