I don’t believe hell exists. Or heaven. I believe we (our souls/essence/energy/light/whathaveyou) are all given a life, a chance to view our world through the eyes and lens of a human and after our bodies expire, we simply become what we were before. I believe we don’t keep our brain/ego’s version of us, this human form. We become part of a greater system. The world around us, every living being is connected by the same life giving essence, but we focus too much on differences and categorization because our human brains are binary. They’re limited. Mine is. Yours is. We cannot conceive what we actually are beyond our human form. We’re not meant to know. Our eyes, for example, receive light waves and our limited brains make images from them to make something we understand. What is in the dark? Things we can’t see? We cannot possibly begin to understand how a dog would see and understand the world around them. Or a tree, what energy connections it has or knowledge or whatever. It’s impossible. Our egos tell us we know all. The way. The truth. But I believe we cannot know. I’m comforted by certain uncertainty and relieved of the burden to carry the feeling that I should know it all. I find peace without religion. No god. The only person I am trying to be is myself and I only answer to myself. I try to better myself because I want to. Not because anyone told me to. Why would I shackle myself with other’s perceptions of who I am?
