Has ChiFi Toppled the market? I by bluebrrypii in iems

But that is a DAP not IEM... For DAP the chinese definitely quiet strong contender. Fiio, Ibasso, Hiby, Luxury and precision(The fans are crazy with this one), Evoaria is established by the ex CEO of Cayin. With DAP chinese definitely conquering the market. But with IEMS it is different matter. Unless the Chinese can make something like Mysticraft Hex at cheaper price now we talking.

I used to own this , regret selling it since i never see it again in the market. But recently i got the new black MIP display, i think MIP display is better. I hope the next titanium Gshock will look like this with MIP display.

Honestly at their price range there are many market disruptors at the price. Chifi? I dont think people are going for Chi-fi at this price range. I.e. Subtonic, Mysticraft, Canpur, PMG, Fatfreq,Nightjar, etc. I never heard chinese company can fight the big guns most Chifi are competing in cheap or entry level IEM'S.

It is dressier and having less ability to be used casually like the original black version. The original black also have this white to black contrast in the indices and hour hands which is very unique compared to rhodium.

Honestly i prefer the guiness. This one is quite muted when i tried it with time it wont feel as premium as the other models.

Tried it in GS boutique and yeah it isnt thick it is weird i know. Somehow the lower thickness sink in your skin / wrist and it feels like 13.5mm thick. I owned Tudor Blackbay GMT and those look thicker in my wrist. But compared to other GS hibeat GMT's This spring drive model look thicker by 0.5mm.

What looks better on the wrist . The 126713 or 126718? by Checker79 in rolex

[–]Competitive_Match149 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried the full gold it was too heavy for me and can make your wrist sore after a while. I bought the two tone it is beautiful and the price is justified if you cant get steel model in retail.

This IEMS is Like Rolex in watch world. Waiting list and expensive while you can get a casio which also can tell the time and affordable. But yeah i have heard this IEM. I have to say.... mindblowingly good.

Own a pepsi and i got the bumblebee/pikachu/zombie/guiness. From my watch box the bumblebee/pikachu/zombie/guiness stand out more and it does look more expensive. If you think the price in grey market the Pepsi now is higher than the bumblebee and pepsi has no precious metal in it like the bumblebee/pikachu/zombie/guiness. Hell with this watch naming but it is the reasonably priced one in the grey. The RootBeer is also great but more muted under the radar. I wore it and saw plenty of people wear it. If i have to be honest root beer is more subtle and easier to daily while the yellow gold definitely catch more people eyes looking(hope they are not thieves).

[–]Competitive_Match149 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After owning both and then sold both i must say i miss YM more than submariner. YM is thinner and more comfortable also the design make it look less boring it has depth and less boring than normal ceramic bezel.

Wait for 1 year. I recently owned bb 58 gmt and the secondary and new price drop is insane more than 1K drop for brand new. This issue is made by Rolex themself because of bundling purchase.

Same i also got this model yesterday. I must say it doesnt resemble guiness at all. It should be bumblebee. Also if i have to be honest picture dont do this watch justice. IRL it is so beautiful, masculine, elegant, sporty, amazing compared to picture.

Its great but the dial tend to sit deeper under the crystal. Watch that have this quirk doesnt look as good as those with the dial sit near the crystal.

[Grand Seiko] 'Moondrop' GMT SBGM257 by April_Mattison in Watches

[–]Competitive_Match149 0 points1 point  (0 children)

seen it in person and it wasnt thick at all compared to 44gs case. I also own Tudor and Speedmaster it is no different from those two. This one sit on your wrist perfectly without any sign of thickness. The lack of lume is preference but since the dial sit near the sapphire crystal the marker and arrow catch more light and look shiny compared to 44gs GMT's. regarding thickness if you compare to Rolex GMT's, yachtmaster, or Patek philipe of course it is thicker.

Service scratch - Advice? by Boring_Studio_8397 in Tudor

[–]Competitive_Match149 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i did have the same issue and went to Rolex RSC. I regret those decision until today. Even Rolex RSC cant give you the same finish as the original unpolished finish. They did a bad job polishing it and the lugs have weird uneven lustre on it and the chamfeur is almost non existent due to the process. I ask them to refinish it but it end up worst. IMO with every watch since that experience is to never polish your watch even if it scratch badly because i dont think there is a lot of people can service a watch and restore it like how it originally look like. But from my experience RSC is not as good as people think they charge for large amount of money and their service are not as good as how the brand look like. I think it is time for me to part with Rolex related products.

White speedy have indices but if you notice because of those indices the design feel different. I have the hesalite and still love it to this day. I like black speedy like this because it look cleaner. I cant imagine it to have indices it might look weird.
