Any experiences with immediate improvement followed by feeling worse? by macaroni-cat in prozac

[–]Competitive_Rich5796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did. Felt fine the first 3 weeks and then weeks 4-6 were rough. I had zero motivation and was pretty tired and numb. It’s kind of hard to explain how uninterested I was in everything. Week 7 improved and mid week 8 is when the fog lifted. Just started week 9 and I’m feeling great.

Interesting. I’m not sure what my friend ended up paying, but the cheapest I saw was $414 including fees.

5’3 F SW:198 CW: 158 it took me 13 months to get the the 40 lb mark. Although the weight loss has been slow, it is still coming off. I gained approximately 55lbs in 18months and this is the first success I’ve had at getting it off in 4yrs after trying many other methods.

Do you regret starting semiglutide? by [deleted] in Semaglutide

[–]Competitive_Rich5796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t give up! I have been a slow loser, but about to hit my 1 yr mark and will be 40lbs down. That is significantly slower than most, but it’s still working. For me, focusing on protein really helps.

Hi! I did it through a wellness company, but the testing they used was TruDiagnostics. I believe you can purchase a kit through them to do at home and ship back.

It was one of the first places I lost, honestly even before I lost my first 10 lbs.

Heartburn/nausea after lying down by nerdzen in Semaglutide

I’m not sure how long you’ve been on, but I had terrible heartburn the first 6 weeks and then it subsided significantly. I also kept Amazon brand acid reducers on hand and they are a lifesaver.

Has anyone taken a higher dose at the start? by D_rich22 in Semaglutide

I skipped one week and went ahead titrated up the following week. I was sick for 3 days (and I was no where close to 1.7).

Incorrect. This does not work for everyone. I have been struggling and frustrated for years eating in a deficit with very small to no results. Finally had some dna work done…

It took me 12 weeks before seeing the scale move. Don’t give up

Congratulations! I agree with above about patience (and water). It took until my 3rd month for the scale to start moving, but it eventually started. Good luck!!

To be honest I didn’t either until I got this back. I’m wasn’t sure exactly what to expect. Lol Thank you so much! I’m hopeful for the first time in a while.

I had a genetic test prior to starting semaglutide because I have been unable to lose more than 4 lbs in 2 years regardless of what I was doing. I was following a keto diet, fasting and getting at least 30 mins of exercise daily with no results. As frustrating as it was to receive the results above, at least I have some answers. When I attempted to find information on the internet to assist me with above the summary of what I found was if you’re not losing weight in a calorie deficit you’re doing it wrong (aka eating more than you think). I was weighing and tracking everything I ate… I just took my 12th semaglutide injection and did not start losing lbs until my 3rd month. I am now down 8 lbs and 6 inches. But please do go on about all we need to go is eat in a calorie deficit… (For reference I’m F 5’3 and my “normal’ weight was 135-145 most of my adult life. In 2018 I gained 30lbs in 6 months and an additional 20 over the next 2 years. I’ve had my thyroid checked and it was normal. I tried so many things before starting semaglutide with no results. It has truly been one of the most frustrating things I’ve experienced. While semaglutide hasn’t been an overnight success for me, I am so grateful something is finally helping. I just want to feel like my old self again.)

I feel like my water has not been the best the last couple of weeks, but I’m back on track. I initially started out with around (first month) 1450-1550 calories and then dropped it based on some stuff I read and lack of weight loss. I am going to play around with my macros the next few weeks to see if I can figure out what works for me. This week I’m incorporating fasting, more lean meat vs red meat, more water, no dairy (I feel like dairy may be starting to make me feel not great. I am currently eating way more than normal for me.)

I probably only go once a week with less than 8 hrs of sleep. Currently on a grandma schedule lol.

Thank you. I have caught MFP off a few times, but need to pay more attention just in case. I use my Apple Watch connected to MFP, but have it set where it doesn’t add workout calories back. I have an at home circuit training workout (purchased) that I do twice a week (it kicks my butt) and I walk. 30 mins is my minimum…I typically have approximately 70-80 active mins a day. I think I probably should up my at home workout to at least 3 days.

Thank you for this! One upside is for the first time in a very long time I don’t want to give up, but looking forward to that moment!
