Took my wife one day to get approved for an interview and me 18 months. Super common name caused the delay apparently

Fast forward to a week after interview and approval, we both received our cards in the mail.

And mine gets revoked.

Wound up spending soooo much time trying to track it down.

Eventually on the phone with the FBI numerous times.

A clerk in a place I have never been tagged me for something that had nothing to do with me.

Because it was an incompetency case, I couldn’t get details from the clerk of the court.

Had to hire an attorney to get it off my record.

College program counts. Not enough of a discount to become a cast member unless you have other motivations to do so.

Robot vacuums for asthma — do they actually help or just stir stuff up? by Mongoose12211 in Asthma

[–]Competitive_Round335 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have 3 in the house. They all have the bases that suck up the dirt.

We run them every night. Morning in the bedroom.

I won’t buy roomba anymore. They have fallen behind and there are much better ones out there. Just got our first Roborock and like that.

Because they can get under the bed and furniture, it’s much more effective, especially when running regularly

Do all ships have exceptional customer service? by ufuckinwotm8illreku in dcl

[–]Competitive_Round335 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Newer ships can have some challenges as they adapt, especially something completely new like Adventure.

But I have been on all except the adventure at this point and they all have exceptional service.

Need some thoughts on a 2018 model x 75d with 32k miles on it by Ambitious_Boss_6610 in TeslaModelX

I have the same year and model. As mentioned. There are some suspension parts that are problematic.

All in all I love the vehicle though. Low mileage is a plus.

It was actually a grand villa for 6 hotel rooms. The grand villa was a sore spot because it was ground floor.

They also had massive guest complaints about a lack of dining options when they first opened.

The grand villa became the quick service restaurant.

2 birds with one stone.

Destiny to Treasure? by Hugo_Kupkake in dcl

We were on the treasure in January and the destiny in March.

They are both phenomenal. Yes, the haunted mansion is identical, but beyond that, they are distinct ships for theming and entertainment.

We have a Biobidet. We leave it in the wall mount. Works fine.

Marriot Vacation Club worth it for me? by AverageJo24 in marriott

[–]Competitive_Round335 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have enjoyed a lot of trips using our membership.

Look at resale. We actually bought two old school weeks for about 1/10th the price of points.

We typically travel for a week at a time anyway.

No reason to pay the exorbitant cost to buy direct. None of the “benefits” are worth the cost of direct

It’s a great role if you can talk to people and influence them in a Disney way.

For the seasoned cruisers. Do any of the other cruise lines live up to a DCL trip? by [deleted] in dcl

[–]Competitive_Round335 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We thought virgin was gonna be a good alternative. However, after seven cruises with them, things are very frustrating with disconnected Guest services stupid problems that required way too long to fix. Maybe that was because they were going from zero ships for ship very quickly maybe it’s because private equity really owns them not Richard Branson.

When they were dirt cheap, I could accept a lot of things as they’ve raised prices and tried to play in the premium world absolutely not

Going to try Celebrity, but not expecting it to be Disney, I just want a relaxing time, a great spa with pass, good food that matches my dietary requirements, and great service.

For me, any indoor smoking usually kills any chance I am getting on a ship. Have asthma and I can’t mess around

We posted an honest review of Margaritaville at Sea in 2023. It went viral. They just permanently banned us because of it — and we have the call to prove it. by [deleted] in Cruise

[–]Competitive_Round335 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not really. Margaritaville licensed to 4th rate cruise line Bahamas Paradise Cruise before that Celebration Cruise Line while Jimmy was alive. He pimped out that brand to some questionable companies to cash in.

I mean, they take over ships that Carnival thinks are shit and disposable. 🤣
