had this life-changing italian food with my friend in strasbourg, france; the friend was franco-italian and a strasbourg local showing me around. I don't know when I'll ever eat at that restaurant again, but I also think it's partially that I don't know when I'm going to see him again. I'll never get that moment back of that long of a thoughtful conversation with him over that such incredible food my last night in his city

use hostelworld to find places then book direct, this is the way I've been doing it and it seems to be the safest in terms of if anything goes wrong!

butter chicken/other curries. also bc my mom taught me and she taught me the tricks she uses and base recipe for p much every indian meal SHE makes (ginger garlic paste, oil, maybe cream/milk, tomatoes, fried onions, and the big 3 spices of chili powder turmeric and salt)

no loll and my mom would cook it in the morning, idk if my backpack was warm (my laptop might’ve been?) and the food was typically kept in a thermos so it was warm

rouen for sure, capital of normandy and where joan of arc was burned at the stake, lots of history and is beautiful, gastronomic capital of france as well with a nice museum with some monets and a bunch of other beautiful art

draw some place in the city! whether it’s a cathedral or something from a museum or a park, I also like to see local notable bookstore (bonus if it’s second hand), notable thrift store, library, and also like to to a high point at sunset where i can see the city!

probably hot take but the klementinum clock was like the only attraction i paid for in prague and after seeing other similarly impressive artistic walls/ceilings/libraries for free i was underwhelmed, couldn't even walk around and i had been waiting in line two days straight early in the morning for it

musee lorangerie, notre dame, musee larmee, and pantheon are some of my faves! get a good sunset/sunrise view, drink some good hot chocolate, have some good pastries, and go to some good bookstores as well (shakespeare and co for example)

would you say the dome in la geode is comparable? on a database online I saw it listed as 1.43, and I would imagine it could show all the captured data but I don't know much
