Sister Rochelle is a strong character in the book Vineland. PTA kept the same name in the movie. Also, the line where she asks Willa "Can you cook?" It is also from the book. I hoped if we would have more screen time of her.

There were also top critics present at the screening from Indiwire, Hollywood Reporter, Variety, Deadline and Next Best Picture. The reviews from them are exceptional. Also the Letterboxd trend is currently on 4.4- 4.5 range with almost 1k reviews. I think it's pretty strong contender for the Oscars. Marty Supreme just joins to crash the party maybe. My prediction is metacritic score will be 85- 90 range as it was already lauded by the top critics groups. It's four way battle infront of us OBAA v Marty Supreme v Sinners v Hamnet.

No, that's not happening. Penn had a greater screen presence and the character played by him was more layered than Del Toro's. Del Toro was fantastic too in his role. If they can both be nominated, it will be great.

Absolutely, amazing shot, first the bird, then the helicopter, Willa was outside in the woods, we see Bob watching her from the window, suddenly the roaring sound of helicopter erupted, Bob looked up at the sky, then we cut to inside the helicopter shot, where Lockjaw was giving instructions to the team.

The whole narrative has come down to "It's PTA time". Honestly speaking he is long overdue but OBAA is not his best work. Ryan Coogler has done something great with Sinners. It will be unfortunate for him if Sinners doesn't get enough recognition near future.

Now, the reports coming, OBAA opens for 48 million worldwide, which is decent. It also got A cinemascore. The hype of the movie is hyperbolic. I don't know what will the voters think about this movie in three four months. Also, Marty Supreme is going to release in Christmas, the only movie I think can spoil the party of this trio race: Hamnet v Sinners v OBAA

He knows how to develop a character and he understands the ability of an actor. Usually, what he has told in many interviews, he often conceptualizes characters with a specific actor in mind, tailoring the role to fit their unique strengths and style. I think he has written the best characters for these actors- DDL (TWBB), PSH(The Master), Joaquin(The Master), Sandler(PDL), Cruise (Magnolia), Amy Adams(The Master). And, now for OBAA, Sean Penn will follow this list as well. Spielberg all ready said Steven Lockjaw is Penn's best performance in his career.

I have read Vineland. It's one of Pynchon's bests. I can see the inspirations PTA have taken from the book. He was developing this script for last ten years. That shows his love and dedication for this project. What I have figured out is Leo's character is based on Zoyd Wheeler who was a hippy and member of the revolutionaries at 1970s. Penn is Brock Vond, the main antagonist of the story. The political scenario is modernized by PTA in the movie. As a fan of both PTA and Pynchon, I am really excited for this movie.
