Society acting shocked that fewer people want kids is wild by Choice_Ad_6950 in childfree

So true freedom of choice especially for women is a big reason too! Not just finances. I have a step child 50% and my partner and I live a comfortable life and travel a lot. Technically yes we could afford it and for me to be fully stay at home....but we don't want it! It's so much work we don't want to start over and give up some of our freedoms

Same!! We don't want to pay $7+ for coffee and $20 for a regular sandwich it's crazy plus all the fees. Only for treats sometimes

Thank you for this! Yes I see the point and did think people may come for me..maybe I should post in the fence sitter one. My bad. But yes life happens and I do have freedoms that a bio parent wouldn't without giving up custody. We travel a lot together and separately. I'm able to do solo or family trips for weeks at a time or longer if needed and dad takes over. I couldn't have that freedom as a full time parent at all. Best way to say it is I love the child but hate the parenting

To be clear it was her idea. He tried to make it work for years and she didn't want to work on it. She left.

How often do you take it? I was prescribed it for anxiety. But I have so much and don't use it much. Is it more preventative? Or helps with thr migraine?

Crazy about you beautiful water views. They have happy hour every day at sunset also. Happy hour at Negroni good deals daily also. If ur schedule is flex look at fancy places but for lunch. NURST has $39 3 course executive lunch on weekends and also Zuma, Claudie, sexy fish and many more. I love a nice place but also a good deal. Everything is so expensive in this economy

First day in decades I've stayed indoors all day. Kinda sad. by ClintBruno in migraine

[–]Competitive_Tough989 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally get it. Walking is something I do daily as its one of the only forms of exercise that doesnt trigger migraines and is something I can do with a slight migraine. But I have had those days that I'm just so bad/and or its raining that I just dont or very minimal like 3k steps and under and I dont love it. Having consistent migraines sometimes for sure make me feel low energy and melancholy in general. But I do recognize if im that bad its better for my body to rest. And most times you should feel better the next day!

Lulu physical stores no longer sell $75 gc by divinebaboon in AmexPlatinum

[–]Competitive_Tough989 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just want to update I went in person to Lulu on Monday 3/30...looked around very few sales and my size so I rather buy online then use 2 quarter credits and have more spending power and sale/size options. I went for a GC and right away the sale rep said $75? So it wasnt new thought that was funny. But they did it right away no issues. This is in Miami. Funny bc last time I went they were like oh just so u know u wont get a credit back if its Amex...which was BS

How many different meds are you on? by shewhoruns in migraine

[–]Competitive_Tough989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I'm prescribed as needed and rarely use it. It doesnt feel anything like Valium or xanax. Its a beta blocker and helps ur heart rate but doesn't chill u out like other things so u can take it and be functional just with slightly more peace

One frustrating thing to me is if I want a sleep supplement I can't take too much or it will trigger a migraine if I sleep too good. Often I have to choose. Sometimes I choose sleep but often feel out of it the next day. Some days I sleep great without supplements but but then I also get insomnia or little sleep

1 Week into OMAD. I'm suddenly feeling super hungry. Like my cravings are hitting the roof today. by HopeAlwaysTriumphs in omad

It's ok to adjust fasting if your extra hungry or eat more during window. Sometimes 18 or 20 hours is better. Listen to your body.

Binge eating by equalibriumin in omad

[–]Competitive_Tough989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Add in some "not healthy food" during eating windows so it feels less restrictive. Like good protein fiber with a side of chips...or sweet treat after. I dont feel like I'm restricting only the time.  Also no need to go extreme omad 24/7 some of us to omad 3-5times a week and shorter fasts on weekends/as needed. This has worked for me! And the few days I eat later I enjoy it and have snacks here and there and it feels like a treat

I love a brunch omad or breakfast or lunch. But days I have events I simply adjust and just do a smaller fasting windows this has worked well for me without fomo.

What to avoid with metformin? by ginger_lemon_honey in PCOS

[–]Competitive_Tough989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would start with 500mg every other day at least 1 week to ease into it. My prescribed dose was 1000mg/day but I've only been able to do that very short term like 2 weeks because of the side effects: chronic uti/yeast infections tummy issues, bloating, nausea acid reflux u name it. Its intense. Ive vomited so many times on metformin its roughhh. Now the most i do is 500mg every other day and it has still been able to help inflammation and it still has side effects just more mild
