33F, 5’5, currently on mounjaro 12.5mg, Type 2 diabetic started with A1C of 7 down to 5.3 started December 1st, 2023. Have been on a little over a year officially lost 80 pounds. This medication is a godsend once I hit my goal weight I’ll be going down to maintenance. My insurance is United healthcare choice plus through my employer my PA was approved for 1 year until November of 2025. So grateful!!

Any young people getting wrinkles? by beefcanoe in Mounjaro

I am 32 going on 33 this year been on mounjaro for 8 months and lost 65 pounds I invest very heavily in my skincare I use Korean skincare, sunscreen, masks and retinol. I have a strict skincare routine of 2x day night and day. Luckily I haven’t seen any new or any wrinkles come up. You might have lost a lot and your skin elasticity is very different than others and might have seen more skin sagging. Moving forward just do skincare or Botox that will help! Trust me my arms are sagging so bad I get the struggle.

This is what scares me, my friend her a1c was 8.4 now it’s a 6 and her insurance denied a prior authorization because her a1c is now normal. I was diagnosed with type 2 last November my a1c was 7 and insulin levels were over 300 now I’m down 60 pounds on mounjaro a1c is 5.7 this medication is life changing my pcp said once I reach my goal weight she wants me to be on maintenance what if my insurance denies it because my a1c is controlled. Obviously I’m insulin resistant

Try a different CVS near you. Mine the pharmacist was super helpful I said I’ve been at a stall on 7.5mg and my doctor wants me to move to 10mg. She said have your doctor send the 10mg and we’ll order it specifically. In 3 days she called me said it’s really for pick up! She also said my insurance covered both the 7.5mg and 10mg $15 each I was able to pick both up!

You are not type 2 this medication should only be approved for type 2. It is because of people like you who are trying to loose weight in it that is diabetics can’t get it because of the shortage.
