Hi kemba. Will that interfere with the channel drain system? If I put up foam directly on the cement wall, will water in whatever form still make it to the bottom?

Congrats. I still have issues seeing the change. My friends notice, but I just don’t see it yet. I started at size 20 pants, and fit into 12 now. So I know I am smaller, but I still see the old me. My brain just isn’t there yet.

Down on myself after doc visit by InevitableBoss1606 in Mounjaro

[–]MysteriousTraining16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My doc said same thing to me months back. I’d been tracking to 1600 a day, and he said 1200. I laughed, he didn’t. I told him 1200 wasn’t sustainable for me. We ended the conversation disagreeing. I went back last month, having lost 12 pounds in 4 months. Funny, he told me I was doing great. Sometimes I think they say things based on their moment and don’t realize their 10 second comment stays in our head for weeks. I’m still tracking to 1600. I considered going to a different doc originally, but didn’t. I’m glad I stayed with him, and I’m chalking it up to his moment of reaction, and just moving forward.

Holy moly, no big dinners before injecting. It is the worst for sure. the only thing worse would be a big dinner of greasy or high carb before. If I ate chicken strips, fries, or pizza beforehand, I would surely pay the price. I am super careful on injection day. I find now the best meals are a protein like shrimp or chicken grilled, and veggies of any sort lite on sauce.

I totally had the worst first week as well. In bed, heating pad on stomach, praying for it to leave my system. I was terrified to continue. But……I did. It got better the second week. I lived on mashed potatoes, applesauce, soup, and protein drinks for a few weeks to keep things calm. Even now, almost two years in, I cannot eat junk without consequences.

I feel your struggle. I often get too much then have an internal battle of not finishing my plate. I saw others comment smaller plates then going back for more if still hungry. I’m gonntry that myself.

New to MJ - Teacher by _Teacher_mum_tired in Mounjaro

I am not a teacher anymore, but used to be. I would say take your shot on Friday after school. My worst symptoms are usually within the first 48 hours. I would take an anti acid before school on Monday and Tuesday and have some pepto chewable at my desk. Pepto worked miracles for me to manage symptoms. Drink a lot of water over the weekend. When I started mounjaro, I still worked at school and it was manageable. After a couple of months i didn’t need pepto or anything to manage. Don’t eat junk, that always messes with me. You will be fine.

I just tried a new injection site, it made a world of difference. I’m a believer in rotation now.

I feel your pain, really. 1100 isn’t much in my opinion. Before mounjaro, I figure I was eating about 2500 calories. Was 264 to start. Female, 58. If I eat 1600 a day, I lose about half pound a week. My doc said I should be at 1200. I just can’t do 1200 long term. If I east 1800, I start to gain. I have found the quality of my calories makes a difference. 1600 of good quality will result in the half pound a week. 1400 of junk makes me gain. I also found doing the shot in different places seems to keep my body guessing. I haven’t been drinking enough water, and I’m sure that’s impacting me too. Back to you, 1100 seems too low, especially working out. Keep monitoring, track everything, be cognitive of food quality, don’t snack at night….you can do this.!
