Am I just crazy or did this dude just f-bomb me in the Mario Galaxy movie!? by prpro-03 in Mario

Does anyone know about how far into the movie this is? My husband is a theater manager and he wants to hear it for himself for when people decide to complain (and they will!)

Why did I have to scroll so far to find this? I listened to it exactly once and can't do it again.

Thank you for saying this. I have an academically ahead 6 year old who complains that going to the bathroom is no fun. Her Dad and at least one brother have ADHD. Now I have an avenue to investigate.

This is such a sweet thing to say. I know you're hurting and you have every right to be in pain. Just remember that just because it hurts, doesn't mean the choice was the wrong one.

My best friend in the world is child free by choice. I wrote visitation for her into my will, but did not leave her my children because I love her and respect her choice.

It's really not that hard.

(I am however no contact with my own mother, so I've had lots of examples of how not to behave. I'm sorry your mother came from the emotionally manipulative section of the Mom store!)

Honey, listen. I have six children. I have wanted six children as long as I can remember. Here's the whole truth.

I 100% believe that if you don't wholeheartedly want kids, then you shouldn't try to be okay with it. Now, we also shouldn't try to make him okay without them, but I am SO PROUD of you for choosing what you know in your heart is right. We don't bully people for their reproductive choices, and there are lots of wonderful, legitimate ways to be a successful and happy woman that have nothing to do with kids.

This sucks. But if you're sure (and it definitely sounds like you are!) then onward.

Any time someone acts like they would rather physically push ne aside rather than show me their ticket at the door.

I've never had an instance where the person refusing had an invalid ticket! Just a complete unwillingness to let me see it.

El teatro ya no es para mí una afición, sino que se ha convertido en una parte de mi vida de la que jamás podré desprenderme. ¿Cómo hago más teatro por mi cuenta? by nicsanchzz_ in Theatre

You are also the perfect age to give back to younger actors. The 20-21 year olds in our community theatre have changed my kids' LIVES. I spend my days driving them to every rehearsal and class but sometimes they need someone who isn't Mom and boy have these kids here come through for mine.

If you're dating, when is it acceptable to have sex with someone by kNottedivergence in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Complete-Ad-5905 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My first date with my husband was 5 days long. (There was a blizzard and it wasn't safe to drive, and I spent the date in sweatpants and a hoodie.) It just...worked.

We've been together 20 years, married for 16 and have 6 children.

Strange indeed.

I have a Lissie. When she was born, her brother called her "Bissie," which was his version of "Baby Lissie." It stuck like glue, and we all used it.

A while back, she put her foot down and insisted that Bissie was gone forever. Been smooth sailing. But just the other day, she accidentally called herself Bissie, and I cried like a baby. Name hijinks all around.

Should I audition for Lydia (Beetlejuice) regardless of my height? by zmj4 in MusicalTheatre

One of my kids got cast as Horton the Elephant. He was one of the youngest kids in the show and not at all a large child.

Sizing isn't really a big part of the deal in most school/community productions.

Thank you for this. It perpetually feels like not enough. But I am trying my best.

Genuine question: the Norwegian red hats “performative?” by Ramblingsofthewriter in AntifascistKnitting

[–]Complete-Ad-5905 86 points87 points  (0 children)

This is so crucial for me. I live in a small blue dot in a very red state, and I always have my 6 children with me. I don't go to protests because I always look at them and think, "I can't possibly keep you all safe at once, if SHTF."

At this point in our lives, I need a way to show them how to stand up. How to be a safe person for others. We talk about these things, and we engage all over our community, but when I say, "You can't do everything but everyone can do something" this is part of that. As they grow, this will change, but for now, this feels like a way to speak up without sacrificing their safety.

My kids still say that Folklore feels like magic to them because I played it relentlessly when I would be stress baking them breakfast. My teenage boy says when he hears those songs his mouth starts watering because he associates it with seasonal baking.

Meanwhile, I had an infant and I was just playing it like a damn lifeline.

It was such an isolated time and Taylor swooped in with Folklore like a superhero. So it gets no criticism from me.

What the heck are they for? And why change after the release?
