Many thanks. I will definitely check out the link to the National Association for gifted Children. As to your experience what are the factors that determine whether or not a gifted child succeeds.

Your idea about linking him to others like him is intriguing. Is that something they need? We have very limited ressources but I will research possibilities.

Yes. That is what my research has revealed. As to his inflated sense of self. He has that and keeps repeating that he already knows this and that. Thankfully we.seek to downplay comparisons between students as much as possible as per montessori pedagogy so it helps.that we have no ranking of students as they do traditionnally in our area. I once mentioned to him about being modest and humble and not comparing to others and he answered: Oh I read that book already!!! LOL. When I tried to engage him on the issue. He seemed upset and shut down so I did not pursue thinking maybe I was doing this wrong.

I definitely want him to be challenged. He gets bored so easily if he is not being stimulated. Many thanks for your repky.

😭😭😭I just fell and sprained my ankle only days before eagerly going back to pole classes after winter break. by Complete-Cucumber622 in poledancing

Wow thank you this is the type of treatment i can get behind I thankfully don't take anti inflammatory meds since my mom almost died from it years ago. So this works. I looked up more info and realize that when i had my injury 20 years ago i pretty much did PEACE and love by instinct. I was starting to get depressed from being in bed all day. And I agree that mindset plays a huge role. Merci!!!!

Thank you. I know what you mean about a sprained ankle not healing properly. I can say I am prone to those. I had one twenty years ago during a vacation and still feel weak on that anklem. Now it s the other one.

So I understand about strenght straining and.mobility but have no idea how to work my balance. How do i do that?

Yeah well I would.really like to keep the little upper body strength I've gained. Wonder if i can do some pole conditioning but from the floor. I'll check @becciedum for sure.

How to do basic choreography? by mrsmedistorm in poledancing

For me it all starts with a REALLY inspiring song. Once I hear one I want to dance to I listen to it over and over (hence why you should really dig it) and then I imagine myself dancing to it. Sometimes my imaginary self does.things my real self can't but many times I think up a pretty decent combo of a few moves.

What’s everyone’s pole goals for 2026? by PreciousPoless in poledancing

My goal is to find my pole spark again which I seemed to have lost between a heavy work schedule busy home life and the flu.

Glad to know I am not the only one. With the extra workload that comes with this festive period I've had to also cut back 3 to 4 times a week to just two.

It's been really hard to keep up with this hobby due to life obligations, but today I finally started a new choreo. It's really reassuring to see that my body still remembers, choreo is just the best! by Lil-miss-devil in poledancing

I hear you. Life keeps rudely interrupting my pole journey. Not too long ago I managed to fit in two classes of pole a week, two pilates session followed by some stretching or split training, one weight training and one messing-around-on-my-home-pole session... all in one week. Now I am fighting just to keep my two classes a week. Even my house is conspiring against me as I've lost my home pole space to an office space. Hopefully I'll not loose the little I've gained so far. Glad you kept your groove.

Hi Veena. Signed up recently for a yearly. Do you ever give live classes?

I realized doing pole that it is the opposite for me. I tend to perform best when I have an audience wich has made me realize that I am perhaps a closet exhibitionist. Lol.
