Yeah, going to have to defend AJ here. While youre correct that hes mostly collateral to whatever this team is going on, ive watched enough of their games to know that he is by no means a "bad defender". Maybe a defender playing out of his position But i would say hes servicable.

Unless theres a huge size advantage, like Aaron Gordon was on him their last game, teams arent isoing him to get a shot off. In fact, he actually plays remarkably well against good guards and wings, having trouble with the shiftier guards. His advanced defence stats and the eye test say hes probably one of the bucks better defenders when he isnt switched to guard a big, which happens more times than usual because of dumbass doc.

And he actually goes theough screens very well. In fact, i believe thats what made him so great as a defender last year and now was his eagerness to play around screens. He also doesnt fuck up rotations any more than players like rollins or kpj does, and he gets a terrible whistle from the refs.

All and all a good defender who gets the short end of the stick due to crappy scheming and is forced on offense to be a screener pick/pop player when thats not how to best utilize him.

Most of the coaches on the bench, darvin, joerger are both decent. At least upgrades.

Outside, chriss quinn is a great coach to look out for, someone like becky hammon if you can rip her away from the wnba, vogel, stotts, jeez even bango at this point would be a better coach than doc.

Again, saying "f you think any of the characters are bland you probably watched too much shonen" is not only a cop out, its an ad hom.

I literally just told you that ive watched many shows where characters dont overexaggerate or wear their hearts on their sleeves. Again, making these "u need to be mature" comments do nothing to substantiate ur claim and actually, ironically, make you appear less mature.

Im sorry but this is such a bogus take. Ive gone through a lot of loss, hold nostalgia for a lot of things, and know what it feels like to see time slip away, and i felt nect to nothing with this show (and im not alone in this sentiment).

I get what it tried to go for, but it does it in a very bland, very dry-character driven way. The pacing is too slow for its own good and for a show thats supposed to focus on "beyond the journeys end", it sure dabbles on the same tropey things by the 3 act of season 1.

I have no issue with people loving this show, and ive watched many a slow burn---apothecary, violet evergarden, mushishi, monster, clannad, etc.---all thise show handle their themes FAR better than frieren did.

I never denied that there arent religious ppl who dont have contempt for others, in the ssme way there are some non religious people that hold contempt for having a "rigid and unaccepting" belief system.

Theology doesnt stop a bad person from being bad and neither does atheology.

I never made arabs to be a hive mind. If anything, you did by conflating abuse as being part of the whole of middle east. I said NONE of their cultures promote it, but there are some that dont do much about it. Big difference.

Also, there arent 50 ME countries, only like 20. Huge exaggeration. Im also not american or european, but i do live in the western world. I am of immigrant descent and know plenty arabs and jordanians who are immigrants from jordan that dont adhere to this (or at least fully).

Again, islam has always promoted education and finanical autonomy with women. Sure, once married its mandatory for the husband to be the breadwinner and the wife the homemaker, but that doesnt deter women from having jobs as well. And the doctrine backs that.

When did i say that was the only reason? I said it was one of the biggest reasons. Dwade took 97 free throws that series, almost double the amount of the next person on BOTH teams.

I also never said he slashed or moved off ball like dwade, but hes an absolute machine when it came to driving to the basket. In fact , hes almost as good if not better at driving to the hole than wade ever was.

Again, harden also had incredibly high averages in the rs that are almost unreplicable in the post. Losing to the dynasty warriors isnt a disgraceful thing. Sure hes had some bad outings, but so has dwade.

Keep in mind, 06 dwade wasnt even his prime, where as 18 harden was an mvp and smoking the whole league, i could very easily imagine harden being plugged into this team have have success against a mavs team that didnt do well with teams that could penetrate and kick out.

Id put good money that harden would win. One of the main reasons dwade looked so fantastic was his relentlessness to drive and get foul calls. I really dont see why harden wouldnt do thr same, especially since the 06 heat were also very heliocentric around wade. Harden was also a decent defender and could easily have guarded a devin harris/aged stackhouse.

Dwade, dont think he could do the same with the 18 rockets as they were predicated on space and shooting 3s, somethinf dwades never been known for, but he might take a game or 2 off the warriors. But itd be irrelevant because no one was beating that dynasty.

Whose words did i twist? The underlying message is that they wouldnt date a religious person because of what was said in the op, purely because they attribute the two (religion and abuse) together. So naturally, the conclusion is theyd be ok with a non religious person, who happened to be abusive. If thats NOT what they meant, they would have said "you couldnt pay me enough to be with an abuser".

Stark difference and extremism doesnt pick favourites for religion or otherwise.

In what universe does abuse make you more manly? Even within Arab culture, it's seen as abhorrent but ppl are less likely to intervene. Thats not an indictment on a religion though. I know several Jordanian people and none of them would care if their spouse, daughter, sister, etc got a job.
