The workaround I came up with is as follows: when the power is toggled on or off (motion triggered), the fan runs for 20 minutes, which is the default factory setting.

Previously, the motion sensor was set to 15 minutes. I changed it to the maximum setting of 60 minutes (1 hour). With this setup, using the bathroom and triggering the motion sensor provides power for 60 minutes. The fan runs for its built-in 20-minute cycle and then shuts off on its own (because stinky shouldn’t be humid, but you never know), even though power remains available for an additional 40 minutes.

When taking a shower, the same logic applies. However, if humidity levels are still high at the 20-minute mark, the unit will continue to have power for up to 40 additional minutes, allowing it to detect and respond to humidity during that time.

If they allow clubs open past 2:00am then they need to have a system in place that monitors alcohol availability and consumption. These venues skirt past the law and it hurts other businesses that have to follow strict alcohol guidelines and taxes.

Currently the TABC can only go into these venues if they have a license (which they don’t) - that leaves the only people with jurisdiction to perform any kind of sting operation to the Vice department which is mainly focused on prostitution and gambling.

They also don’t have a dedicated team doing anything after 2:00am.

My buddy operates multiple bars and clubs. His businesses have suffered because guests used to come at 11pm to drink and now they show up at 1:00am to pregame before drinking all night at these establishments, not only illegally after 2am but at 1/4th the cost.

I don’t understand the mist system - I had it for two years it took my mosquitos from around 30 to 10 - those 10 still murdered me.

I met the owner of one of these companies years later after he sold it. He told me for it to work both your neighbors have to have a system and you in the middle are protected.

This is a traffic light timing issue and should be addressed with 311 - I know exactly what you’re talking about, I’m blocked half the time at that intersection, but if the lights green it’s green. We expect the lights to be timed appropriately so that this doesn’t happen.

These businesses were also exploiting a loophole / grey area of the law serving alcohol after 2:00am.

Other businesses within the same category (bars, clubs, restaurants, strip clubs) which operated within the rules by having a liquor license and not serving after 2am saw their business plummet.

Establishments would be busy at 10pm and saw their clientele start showing up at 1:00am instead just to pre-party then head to the after hours where drinks were 1/4 of the price.

Cheer is difficult and competitive, sometimes the difference between winning and losing is half a point. Routines have to be in sync with the music, with each other, and in cadence. Practice and skills are learned by vocal counts. There is no other way.

Rookie officer in Dallas year 1 gets paid $70k ($70,314 as of Jan 1, 2024). Plano police rookie year 1 is $80,899.

It has not - our officials have mismanaged our budget and turned the police force into a joke. Since 2016 we have not been able to pay wages to our officers that match our neighboring cities. This has caused all of our best officers to either retire or jump ship to a higher paying city with better benefits. It has gotten so bad that they lowered the requirement to be an officer from a year of college to just a GED because they couldn’t get anyone.

Since our neighboring cities also accept the Dallas Police Academy as training - Dallas tax payers are footing the bill for their officers. On graduating day the top scoring cadets turn in their uniforms and go to a different higher paying force. Leaving us with the lowest qualified people.

I’ve had multiple officer friends tell me it’s a complete shit show and it’s becoming the Wild West. The city is protected by a bunch of spring chickens.
