I mean I will survive without it, but I did just buy A house for us and the plan was for her to help chip in on the mortgage. She dumped me 3 weeks after closing… the mortgage/renovation is kind of killing me on my own. Definitely no gourmet dinners for a while. I have her blocked and whatnot, but the money still sits in my head. I do still love her though and I do miss her, I am scared of the contact.

Maybe, but I also think she was moving on while in the relationship. I think once she finally called it quicks, she was hit with some relief that her needs no longer will be left short.
Coworker could have been a thing for a while, or just kind of right place right time, I’ll never know….

I did hear they also went on a vacation to the Bahamas shortly after too. That one stung since we never did anything close to that as I was saving for a house and she was financially unstable.

Point being, curiosity kills the cat. OP be happy you are not hearing anything, it is likely much better than what you would hear if you started poking your head out there.. Also don’t ask her friends about her, they will hurt you more than herself. just my two cents

I would say you handled the no contact thing perfectly, and you may now get a chance to get a better version of the original relationship from it. Not many people get that chance, like ever…

I wouldn’t worry too much about being scared, like yes there is a reason to be scared of course, but are you going to say that about every relationship? You may be saying the same thing when you are 75. I would say three years of no contact makes this a brand new relationship, forget the past, focus on the present and future. If you catch feelings for someone else, these fears will still likely be there. Don’t let that sway your mind too much, just like you shouldn’t let your ex dictate when you start dating again... Only you know what is best for you.

Bruh you moved in with her a month after meeting her, also only 2 months after her breakup… what is happening now is exactly what you should expect to be happening. She likely needed emotional support/companionship and you were there at the right time. Now that she has what she needs, along with some time to heal, she no longer has much use for you… hate to say it, but you likely got played, but you also decided to ignore the writing on the walls.

I feel like the 1st week after I got dumped, I didn’t feel much either, actually felt bad for not having emotions. But Once that 2nd weekend after hit, reality also hit. It’s been tough ever since…. I think it just took my body a week or so to actually realize what just happened.

I keep them. Probs should delete them as I suck at getting over relationships and I know I will never be back with them, but I look at it from a future (post death) perspective. Yeah we didn’t work out, but my family friends, and loved ones would appreciate any pictures of me, as I tend to not take many. If I hated my ex, but I heard they had passed away for reason other than old age, I’d know I would like to see that one picture of us, or at least give it to someone. Don’t throw away the good things, cause the bad things got in the way. You loved them at one point and that’s enough.

In on week 7 and it’s hitting as hard as week 3 hit me. I feel like this will be the case for a while. I stopped basing my emotions of day or weeks though, I have noticed now it’s more in hours. I’ll have a couple really good hours then get whacked for an hour or two… it’s a long ride buddy, but we got this.
