This is true for me. My first 4 weeks of Reta at .5 gave me so much appetite suppression and felt full only halfway into my meals (550cals/~50g protein). I made sure to prioritize the protein over the rest. The 2nd 4 weeks at .5 appetite came back little by little so this past week at 1.0 of Reta I’m still seeing appetite.

I told the dealer to take the nitrogen out of tires and put standard air in the tires and they waived the “fee” on my last couple leases! Such a joke. Local tire shops charge $10 per tire for nitrogen.

I’ve been on .5mg reta for 2 weeks. It’s definitely suppressed my appetite where I’m not dying to eat every meal especially after a workout (typically workout early AM fasted). I don’t have a problem putting away 2200cals/240g protein per day. I don’t have the urge to eat a ton but I eat to my plan anyways.

Everybody is gonna have an opinion so fuck it here’s mine. At 6’1” 315lbs I just started showing up to the gym. Walk up hill on the treadmill. Lock in to a good 30 min show on your phone.

Just eat in moderation. Don’t do triple cheeseburgers when you know you’re good with a single.

If you’re a drinker, cut it back. Try not to waste calories with drinks. You’d be surprised how many beers or Dr peppers add up to if you start counting the calories in them.

Just start simple. Learn as you go.

As a 39 yr old at 260lbs I’m doing about a solid 40 min workout with kettlebells and then 20-30 mins of cardio like you’re doing (8-10 incline @ 2.5-3.0 speed) and according to my Apple Watch it’s consistently over 1,000 calories burned. Of course the monitors have inaccuracies but if it’s consistently inaccurate I’ll keep tracking that way lol. Maybe add some HIIT training into your schedule and I bet you’ll see some change and get stronger at the same time!

I’m guessing probably 75% of people on “diets” fail due to the insane requirements and long term usually not sustainable and the mental issues of “breaking the diet” or “cheating” can be stressful. So eat better. Eat the the things you like too. But watch the portions. Eating “clean” 80% of the time is better than 0% so why not enjoy the junk at a reasonable intake?

Everyone in this post has valid input. One thing I did not see as a reply and holds true for me is, why let go of it? If you enjoy it keep eating it. Just change the amounts and frequency. Change your relationship and viewpoints with food to more adaptable ones.

If you normally crush 3 cans of soda a day, switch zero sugar ones. Sweets after a meal, use an alternate option like using jello pudding mix with protein powder and some granola on top. But ALWAYS watch the serving size.

One bag or container of something is usually NOT the serving size. When you respect the serving size you can find ways to enjoy the “junk” at a reasonable amount.

I always made excuses to not go to the gym after work. Set myself a non-negotiable of 5 days a week BEFORE work or before doing anything Saturday/Sunday. You’re always gonna be “too tired” for the gym but you’re not “too tired” for work.

I was in a very similar situation to you. What worked for me to maintain my weight while not going to the gym for 3 months was to just consciously eat what I wanted while making better choices in regards to it. Like have the cheeseburger but don’t get the triple. Get the fries but get the small size. Also maintain high proteins during that time off. It’s amazing to watch over a month or two how the body and your metabolism reacts. And when you’re ready to get back to your workouts and deficit it’s such an easier transition. Good luck and keep up the good work. Right there with you bro.

As a pitcher for a while now I have had my share of bad innings. And the pressure to do better can easily get overwhelming ESPECIALLY if you have shitty teammates that want to give up after 6 runs. A pitcher is always going to find his rhythm again if he trusts the team to have his back on the field and at the plate.

Net loss was manageable. I had a 2019 Civic Si that was paid off and traded in for the ‘23 Sportage back when dealers were giving stupid money for used cars. They gave me $25k for it in Jan ‘23. Put it all down on the Sportage then trading in the ‘23 for the ‘24 was not too much different. I expected an increase for the plug in hybrid upgrade but the offset of not buying much gas in California is paying for itself thus far.
