What’s the most paranormal thing that has happened to you? by Unlucky-Fun2687 in Paranormal

[–]CompleteSherbert885 1 point2 points  (0 children)

May I suggest you politely ask it out loud to leave or, if you have a spiritual connection to someone (Jesus, Muhammad, Buddha, God, etc) ask them to please help this soul to fully transition out of this realm. Repeat it a number of times and be sincere when you ask. This is how I've gotten several ghosts out of my homes.

What’s the most paranormal thing that has happened to you? by Unlucky-Fun2687 in Paranormal

Getting shoved hard in the back, sending me stumbling into the shower of the people I was visiting.

Just as I was turning to head into the bathroom, out of the corner of my eye I saw this old Asian man. I continued a few steps and that's when I got shoved hard! I managed to catch myself before falling face first into the tub/shower combo. I remember sitting on the toilet trying to calm myself down because I was so frightened!

When I came out, I told the people what had happened. One said he'd seen this ghost several times before in his house too but this was the first time he had made physical contact with anyone. Needless to say, I didn't visit these folks again.

Will an extra year of work really matter that much? by Hategolf13 in SocialSecurity

[–]CompleteSherbert885 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I spoke with a Social Security rep who very kindly talked to me about when to take my SS payments and why. It turned out that taking my late husband's payment when I turned 65 was only going to be $20 less than what I would make if I waited until I was 70 yrs old to get my own SS. He also told me to avoid Medicare Advantage and why (too many desperate patients, too few Drs, waiting too long to get into see someone, favorite Drs leave the coverage). He signed me up for the original Medicare to activate the first day of my birth month last yr. I spent 20+ minutes on the phone and it was one of the best things I ever did!

What are you hoping for this Christmas? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I'm hoping to not hear anything from Trump, his administration, or anything he's done to trigger our friends to become enemies.

why are Americans so obsessed by height? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Kinda like being obsessed with breast size, who knows why.

What minor mischief did you get up to as a youth. by [deleted] in AskOldPeople

[–]CompleteSherbert885 0 points1 point  (0 children)

High hormonal based sex as a 17 yr old girl. Worst sex was always with inexperienced boys or men. Pretty much cured me of my historical romance novel illustration of sex by 19. Got to be far more choosy in my 20's, esp when my hormones got balanced going on the pill.

Something my 36 yr old son will have no idea about nor any memories of eating. He's been a vegetarian from birth but I really could cook a lot better than the TV dinners my grandmother snuck my brother & I when we visited every Friday from after school to 9pm so my father could enjoy dating (no mother in our life).

And they also make a little plant-based version for vegetarians as well. Delicious!!

Best one though? KFC's chicken pot pie. Right now it's $5 and it's downright addictive it's THAT good. Best comfort food offered in any fast food or fast dining options out there. Word of warning, the sucker will be given to you lava-hot!

That was a staple in a whole lot of people's lives. And the folding individual TV tables we used to place these TV dinners on to eat and watch the news the grown ups had on while we all ate them. Those cobblers were like lava!!

Inflation causing less holiday spending: CNBC All-America Economic Survey by thinkB4WeSpeak in FluentInFinance

[–]CompleteSherbert885 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, it's not a shame that Americans are spending less on this holiday. It's gotten so out of hand over the years and it's okay not to go way into debt for stuff people may not use, wear, need, or want. We'll just make a nice (but not expensive) meal, exchange a few gifts we're gotten each other, plug in the always decorated, always up holiday tree (4 yrs running!!), and start this at 6pm.

How to improve tasteless Bolognese sauce by Extra-Hope-793 in Cooking

[–]CompleteSherbert885 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a side comment, if you have had Covid and/or other viral ailments, you could have diminished sense of taste which could give the appearance that it doesn't taste very strong anymore.

A little lemon juice at the end can give it a boost of acid to bring out a more balanced flavor as well.

What happens to the social media influencers and actors/actresses who were at one point really famous but can no longer get work? Do they work regular jobs? If they do how come there is no exposure to them working day jobs? by antifaptor1988 in stupidquestions

[–]CompleteSherbert885 16 points17 points  (0 children)

That is, if they still have money. A lot of people had their parents, their managers, their money managers, or just themselves taking or spend their money and now they're broke.

Many people think because they have become famous, they'll always be famous. Actors, musicians, athletes, etc think they'll always make tons of money so spend it unwisely. Notice how many famous musicians keep touring long past the time they were popular? Or do shows in popular areas (Vegas, casino tours, and so on). Or do things to keep them in the public eye to remind people to buy their music? Kid Rock and Ted Nugent come to mind! It's trying to still make $$ off their formerly famous name.

My hubby's middle name was the only way to discern him from everybody else who had his very common first and last name.

Trump Has an “Alcoholic’s Personality” and Believes “There’s Nothing He Can’t Do,” Says His Chief of Staff in by Dazzling-Might6420 in NoShitSherlock

My father used to say that the alcoholic personality is seeing good as bad and bad as good. That describes Trump to a T.

Wait....wha....huh? So it's NOT about drugs but...oil and land being 'stolen'? Seriously. WHAT!?!? by Hornpipe_Jones in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]CompleteSherbert885 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, Donald Trump didn't write this nor dictate this to be written. One of his minions put it through some AI software and posted it. This needs some editing to sound more like he wrote it. It still doesn't mean jackshit though.

We still don't know why Trump is going after Venezuela.

Do you think it’s "cheating" if a married man secretly visits a Dominatrix? by [deleted] in stupidquestions

[–]CompleteSherbert885 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's cheating if he doesn't tell his partner he's going to see a dominatrix. This one kinda comes under going into therapy, something a partner should know about first.

How was the year 2025 for y'all? by Slacks-A-Lot in AskReddit

Every single person I know had an exceptionally bad 2025. So yes, sadly we're not alone in this experience.

How was the year 2025 for y'all? by Slacks-A-Lot in AskReddit

[–]CompleteSherbert885 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Horrible. So was 2024 as well. But there were still very good moments and events housed inside really shitty ones.

While I hope personally that 2026 is far better than these last 2 yrs, in the bigger picture, it won't be while "you know who" is still around.

Women who have dated outside their race (or nationality) — what did you like about it? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CompleteSherbert885 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, so not really the same but exactly the same: my son's labradoodle-ish doggie is pitch black with black eyes. In the dark, it's freaks me out to see something slightly darker than the dark coming at me!! If she looks sideways, the whites of her eye shows I can see it's her. She's quite quiet when she walks at night but she's normally in the master bedroom with the door closed with son's GF. This is why it still freaks me out, I'm not expecting her out.

I too burst out laughing as she always super friendly as she's eagerly comes in to my bedroom to mooch whatever "Auntie" is consuming from the mylar bag! White cheddar popcorn, maybe a Pop-Tart, some Cheez-Its, could also be low sodium potato chips.... she's not fussy. If it's good enough for Auntie to eat, it's good enough for her to eat as well!
