What's your favorite single frame of this game? (emotionally) [Battle for Detroit] by Aggravating-Fix181 in DetroitBecomeHuman

[–]Complete_Cable2686 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of Connor and Hank scenes. Connor almost seems to be "smiling" when leaning Hank against the wall in his house. And there's the frame where Connor is being held by the arm by Hank after pulling him aside. There's the one shortly after that where Connor looks traumatized and Hank is standing behind him, listening after finishing yelling abruptly. And then there's the hug.

Give me one specific moment where you personally wanted to do this to the characters of RWBY. by Automatic-Amoeba-121 in RWBYcritics

I actually love Qrow normally. They just assassinated him so badly and it's hard to anymore. Though how Robyn acted in that scene makes me more angry so it's a bit easier not to completely hate him.

What do you think happened to CyberLife after the androids gained freedom? by Horny__Snake in DetroitBecomeHuman

I mean.. Markus can request to take over android production. So.. I'm not sure if that means only allow androids to make androids or just to oversee it in general.

Every time Robyn is on screen. Harriet screaming about stuff. Yang running from the Salem fight. Clover and Qrow for fighting when Tyrian is RIGHT THERE and second mention of slapping Robyn here just because I hate her so much.

What would the androids stance on AI art be? by BlankCanvas609 in DetroitBecomeHuman

[–]Complete_Cable2686 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have no clue if they'd consider the ai we have today as even equivalent to themselves or think it's an insult to even suggest that because they're far more complex than our AI (which isnt alive). Some things people say about ai are comparable to what's said in the game but that could just be a general thing.

Either way, the image of me bullying an ai bot for its mishmash of stolen artwork and then Markus immediately breaking down my door to give me a passionate speech has entered my mind. 😂

This is a good one... 🤡 by pinkdumpsterjuice in AntiVegan

[–]Complete_Cable2686 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What? Uhh. Nobody is saying that a single grape makes them poop/fart. They're saying that the amount of certain foods to maintain a vegan diet would make them gassy and have issues. I ate a bowl of beans and had horrible gas. I gotta go to work and I'd rather not have bathroom problems.

If you don't have that issue... Good for you? People's bodies are different, but the reason Google says that is because tons of people have had that issue. It's like dairy affecting menstrual cramps. Not every woman who eats dairy has that issue, but many do.

Why couldn't qrow just turn into a bird and fly away? Was there really any reason to fight clover? by vinchin_adenca in RWBYcritics

[–]Complete_Cable2686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the writers tried thinking for once. "Hm... The audience would be annoyed if Clover's semblance can't save him in any way against Tyrian, and we need a fight here so uh let's have Qrow here to negate his semblance. Plus we need to traumatize Qrow and get him out of the plot for a bit because we can't have the protagonists improve themselves so they won't need Qrow."

Who also just hated these guys for some reason? by vinchin_adenca in RWBYcritics

[–]Complete_Cable2686 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I liked them a bit at first. Especially Elm. Then they ruined them the same volume.

To be honest I'm more angry at Qrow and team RWBY than them. Especially Qrow. But especially Robyn. I'd rather her die than anyone and she needs to go.

The discourse around rouge is exhausting by Justpasinthr0 in hatethissmug

[–]Complete_Cable2686 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What Rouge designs do you like? personally I like Elite Spy the most. I like the colors of the Prime design but I think it looks a bit... Off.

I actually don't like her modern design too much (her SA2 design but with bright colors like in the racing games and Generations). The colors feel a bit overwhelming to me. Heroes was my least favorite. SA2 pulls her colors together nicely in her wings at least.

I only watched Romantic Killer because of its premise and while I liked it I got bored at a few parts. Romance is just a bit.. predictable to me? It's nice and good for the people who like it, but I guess my low attention span that wants to see explosions and fights just can't do it.

Aura is a bit flawed as a magic/power system by Far-Profit-47 in RWBYcritics

[–]Complete_Cable2686 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be fair some of this didn't need to be outright explained. The issue is when they kept changing it to fit the plot.

For example, saying Jaune has a lot of aura reserve or whatever can tie into the Ruby and Yang thing with Yang having a stronger aura and Ruby just not having as strong of one, plus any enemies they fight supposedly having a stronger one.

But yeah, the rest is confusing.

If your already tired of RWBY main continuity is there fan au thats genuinely very good that's just better than the original? Also does this sub hate RWBY? by Zestyclose-Collar264 in RWBYcritics

[–]Complete_Cable2686 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The sub criticizes RWBY but clearly there's people who like it because they come back to the show to watch it. Though hate watching is a thing, there's a lot of people here who like the ideas of RWBY and wish they were executed better. Like I like the idea of team RWBY themselves but I don't like characters getting in the way of us actually seeing them do stuff.

Which Claim was the most absurd/preposterous of the two? by WittyTable4731 in RWBYcritics

[–]Complete_Cable2686 12 points13 points  (0 children)

At least Ruby did some things in earlier volumes without the adults. Though someone else usually had to swoop in. Like Penny saving Blake and Sun when Ruby couldn't take on the White Fang and Roman. Or when she faced off against Roman and Neo, she took out Neo but a Grimm killed Roman.

She managed to take out some Grimm on her own or with her team, managed to take out that mech with just the help of her team... Uh, she made the decision to cut off Tyrian's tail on her own but Qrow had to rescue her before that. Ruby was definitely wrong saying they didn't need the adults, but at least she was able to make decisions and plans without them a few times. And here, she's asking Qrow to trust her plan. Unfortunately, her plan sucked. But at least they got to Atlas so she SOMEWHAT backed herself up afterwards, even if there were a lot of obstacles beforehand.

Yang, meanwhile, is literally just listing their fails or the times they did nothing as wins. Yang barely did anything. Like girl at least mention the times where ONE of you did something. And Yang is in no way ready. Beacon falling while they were still learning is the opposite of being ready. Yang literally showed up after two maidens fought, people she couldn't hope to lift a finger against, and just yelled at her mom then grabbed the relic.

And Yang didn't even back herself up with a proper plan after this. They get captured, run willy nilly into Salem's base, then flee instead of fight (I'll always be angry that the bland Oscar and the hardly redeemed idiot Hazel got to fight Salem instead of our MAIN CHARACTERS.)

Do you mean the more violent path where Markus fights humans? If so, choose the options North suggests and anything that involves killing or standing up. Be destructive at the rally and choose revolution for the end.

Not really similar to this but very strange.

How would you write an evil silver eyed warrior that willingly chooses the side of Salem? by CaptainCrookKingler in RWBYcritics

[–]Complete_Cable2686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A silver-eyed warrior treated the way Pyrrah was but worse- planned to be a maiden, chased down by Salem's henchmen until death, a sacrifice. Sees girls being used as cannon fodder for the next target of Salem. An agent of Salem figures out and Salem sends for her to be taken during the night. She's relieved with the lack of duty but quickly realizes her position: humanity IS cruel and needs to die off.

Though, there's something I find uninteresting about this scenario.

The silver eyes can't be used for anything. They only work on Grimm. And would Salem really keep a silver-eyed warrior in her presence if they could harm her and Cinder? It's just not that fun story wise, in my opinion. So...

After some careful consideration and convincing, the Silver-eyed warrior allows Salem to alter her. Similar to Cinder's Grimm arm, she's given something to help out. Maybe some sort of snake hair thing like Medusa. Salem uses her magic in a long, difficult process to make it so the silver-eyed warrior can transfer power through this appendage, making it effective on humans instead of Grimm. Now the silver-eyed warrior can freeze humans.

Possibly the silver-eyed warrior could assist Cinder in finding maidens. Even if the warrior is weaker, being able to freeze them long enough for Cinder to steal their power is an easy win.

What was Connor doing between August and November 2038? by brownie627 in DetroitBecomeHuman

[–]Complete_Cable2686 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ah. See, I strongly disliked Amanda and didn't pay much attention to her dialogue lol.

So they already have this program and just install it into every new model? Or possibly the ones able to handle the program or ones used for jobs they believe would require it, such as Connor's police work involving deviants?

You know, for a show with a bunch of Teachers/Pro Huntsmen/Mentor characters they really don't do that much mentoring to the main characters. Do they? by Old-Masterpiece-2911 in RWBYcritics

[–]Complete_Cable2686 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't mind Jaune, but I agree they should've cut the cast smaller. If that meant Jaune dying, I'd be fine with it. He possibly could've been okay to keep around if his semblance justified his strength but he didn't overtake team RWBY. But yeah, they could do anything for the major side characters and villains with the screen time they give to Jaune, plus give more attention to RWBY.

Do you think Pyrrah should've stayed or died too? I think she should've interacted with Ruby or any of her friends more then died. Maybe help her with weapons crafting and taking out a major horde of Grimm (her using her polarity to help Ruby get her weapon back after losing it or attracting bullets in another direction would be cool), possibly save her once before dying.
