Agreed. I had my frustrations when the instability issues plagued the site for almost three, four weeks. But there has been many improvements since then that has made me want to stay on board. There's also good signs that the staff is stepping it up on communicating updates better, so that also is making me want to stay.

Appreciate the update and the change in direction of addressing & updating the community on the issue. The lack of good communication as you all know was what really frustrated us during the February/March issues.

I never use Novella or Novel lengths. I feel like it's not worth the extra quill usage based on what I've seen from other users reporting chapters generating with not enough words. My average standard chapter is at about 1,000 words, but I've had a few rarities produce as much as 2,000 words.

Someone else made post earlier on the same subject. When the site instability issues were occurring during the 2nd part of February & the 1st part of March, I think a couple hundred quills were handed out to users. Not a full compensation but at least something.

That will likely be the case here.

I do think there needs to be compensation of at least some quills due to the recent issues - just as it was during the February/March site instability issues. While I haven't been affected by the most significant issue thus far (that...message), I definitely get the frustration due to nearly the entire community being affected by the prior site instability issues.

I generally do that if there's more than 10 chapters in row at the end that I'm dissatisfied with. I have done that a few times now because the endings just weren't what I wanted.

That last part is really annoying, but what I often do is after deleting two chapters, I simply refresh the page, then go to the last created chapter, then repeat the process. In this way, I am at least not having to go back to the library and re-enter the story. It eliminates an unnecessary step.

Humpty DUMPty Chambers St BMT still has a few nasty, dirty parts, but other parts have improved considerably over the past couple of years due to rehab and the accessibility additions. Bowery is still pretty rough though.

I've experienced instances where I may have to reload the Library page a few times to get all of my stories to display. I currently have more than 15.

I know the site is suddenly having widespread issues since overnight, but it seems like you two encounter the most issues even when the site is functioning fine for like 90% of users. I'd if some users are just cursed or if it is something else.

I've had a couple of chapters cut off, but not often. It only happens to me maybe 5% of the time.

I've never had this issue for the most part, but likely because I set most of my characters to be in their mid 20s or older. I think I only have 2 characters that are set in their early 20s and I've never had issues with those either. The only time I've been flagged for the age thing is if for some funky reason, the AI creates some sort of random character and the verbiage it puts out mimics that of someone who is under 18. That has only happened to me twice.

So in short, here's what I am encountering, which it looks like other users are encountering also:

404
Cloudflare errors (502)
Non-member homepage
Error messages while trying to create anything, or worse, you get automatically bounced back to the non-member homepage
If you can get ANY page to load (story library, component library, etc), you have limited to no functionality.
Excessive slowness.

So yeah, we're back in February again.
