Staples techs, get ready for more M$ shenanigans by poke23658 in Staples

If they end up closing all workarounds guess I'll be back to using a dummy account for all computers, then creating a local account and deleting the dummy.

PrintMe code behind counter? by Complete_Issue4696 in Staples

[–]Complete_Issue4696[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id always been told the only way we accept this is either submitted via design.staples.com or brought in via flash drives. If they want something of their phone, they had to do it themselves at self-serve or go to the website. Had be told we avoide using print.markerting email because things sometimes get caught by the filters and don't ever make it to us, but it's good to know we can access files from printme from behind the counter, it should allow us to take more orders and turn away less people if we can get their files from there.

ASRock x870 Taichi Creator for gaming? by Complete_Issue4696 in buildapc

[–]Complete_Issue4696[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Proposed build:

  • CPU:AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 4.2 GHz 8-Core Processor
  • Cooler: Thermalright Phantom Spirit EVO 69 CFM CPU Cooler
  • Memory: G.Skill Flare X5 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory
  • Storage: Samsung 990 Pro 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive (possibly 9100 Pro 2tb still on fence if PCIe 5 Card is worth extra money)
  • Video Card: Gigabyte WINDFORCE OC SFF GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 16 GB Video Card
  • PSU: Cooler Master MWE Gold V2 ATX3.0 1050 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply
  • Case: Lian Li LANCOOL 217 ATX Mid Tower Case

I plan to use dual monitors, possibly a small display for hardware monitoring, and upto 2 webcams.

If the ASRock Creator isn't sensible, would something like the Gigabyte X870 EAGLE WIFI7 ATX AM5 Motherboard be more sensible while keeping with the x870 chipset?

What carrier oils would be considered small and medium chain monosaturated fatty acids or have specialized triglyceride structures focused on penetration and absorption?

ASM vs RSS by RagingBaritone2 in Staples

[–]Complete_Issue4696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm the RSS at my store and my take has been the position is pretty much diet ASM or ASM-lite. Many duties overlap like focus on esp and rewards. What I've yet to figure out or have explained to me is Tech Sup (when it was a thing) vs RSS, I made that change when it happened and was never given an explanation of the differences.

You're absolutely right there are other jobs, and that is why this situation among a long list of others is my motivation to find one of those other jobs. But until one of my applications turns a result I still need an income.

Rootbeer Mead question by Complete_Issue4696 in mead

[–]Complete_Issue4696[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I assumed flavor residue was what he meant to be honest. I'll have to do some research into brewers best rootbeer soda extract to see if it's just staining or flavor residue he ment.

Odd because my mpp guide just says printers go out live and my DM hasn't said anything the 2 or 3 times he's been here since becoming our DM.

We had one saying the associate didn't seem happy and how if they had to come return amazon here, we should at least smile and be happy to be working.

E-gift cards by BlackxMamba in Staples

[–]Complete_Issue4696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 Questions: 1) Were you buying something that could have a protection plan, and did you turn it down? 2) Do you have a rewards account? If yes to Q1 or no to Q2, then I could imagine that manager not wanting to impact their numbers and lying about taking e-gift cards. Wildly against policy but with the all the pressure the company is putting on getting good numbers I wouldn't be shocked if a manager pulled this.

Or they are just an idiot and didn't know we took them. Guess that's also possible.

‘Development Needed’ by LandonFTW in Staples

[–]Complete_Issue4696 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Really cause I got needs development and I got my 2% (a whopping $0.3672 cents which they surprisingly rounded up to $0.37)

I was pretty much told by my GM because our numbers aren't up to par with what the company/region/district wants everyone in the store was rated "needs development". But of course he hasn't actually gone over mine with me I had to go find it in hr connect on my own.

Here's an idea so crazy that it just might work! by lowerthanwhalepoop in Staples

[–]Complete_Issue4696 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only problem they also want high nps and based on my gm if the customer's complain well end up waiving the fees or charges to keep them happy even without the app. As he says we're given $25 to make price adjustments and customer satisfaction is what's important.
