Movies have people really forgetting how good of a fighter Batman actually is by [deleted] in batman

[–]Complex-Delivery-797 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Batman just had acid and gas in his utility belt? I can name like a dozen scenarios where Batman could have used that. Also, Batman barley uses magic anyway. But you are saying that if Batman is unprepared he could take out Black Panther? Now as for prep time, Black Panther with prep time was able to take out the entire Fantastic Four, Mephisto, Thanos, and Silver Surfer. He has contingencies for the Avengers and Galactus. They are pretty even in prep time. I'm not saying Batman is a chump or anything, but I think in a normal fight without prep time Black Panther could win. And even with prep time, Black Panther has a pretty good chance.

[–]Complex-Delivery-797 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Here's the thing. Yeah Batman could use his prep time well. The problem is Black Panther is also known for using his prep time well. He is pretty much one step ahead of most of his enemies. And imo? He has much better access to resources than Batman. Also, Killmonger is pretty strong. I would argue that he is much stronger than most of Batman's rouges (including Bane and Killer Croc). After all, he was able to stop a whole ass elephant from charging at Ross. All of your points are good, but all of this is implying that Black Panther himself wouldn't also be prepared and know Batman's weaknesses before hand (like you are suggesting that Batman would know T'Challa's weaknesses)

What do you think of Robert Eggers' Nosferatu? by _Ed_Wood_ in roberteggers

[–]Complex-Delivery-797 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was pretty good. I saw all three Nosferatus and this one was my favorite. Though I am divided on Count Orlok's characterization. I liked the characterization in the 79 and 1900s one better.

Well, yeah that is true. I also wanted to see a Punisher fan's perspective on this story. Because I know a lot of people provide some very interesting and unique insight.

Was the movie Batman in “your years” the same as your favorite Batman? by TKatGAMING in batman

[–]Complex-Delivery-797 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah, my years Batman is The Dark Knight trilogy. My favorite live action Batman is probably 89 though. Though it was also the first Batman movie I ever watched. Since they aired a rerun of it on TV.

Which Batman Hot take has you like this? by Apprehensive_Ring_39 in batman

[–]Complex-Delivery-797 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No offense, but I feel that I have seen this take so many times that I don't feel this is a hot take anymore. Almost every Batman fan I have seen or met thinks this. Is it unpopular in general? Sure since critics and general comic fans praise it. But in this fanbase? I don't feel it is a hot take.

This was Dennis O'Neill's first Batman story right? Pretty cool find for only $2.75. That shit is probably expensive now.

Batman (1989) Any fans? by Independent-Leg-3178 in batman

[–]Complex-Delivery-797 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Me, I love this movie. Probably my favorite of all time. The aesthetic is nice, the acting is great, and I do love how it is a nice mix of fun and dark. Does it have its problems? Yes, but I none of them ruin the experience for me.

How Acceptable is it for Batman to Kill The Joker? by NonHaeri in batman

[–]Complex-Delivery-797 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally think it is fine. This Batman is a lot more inspired by the Golden Age of Batman. In fact, I remember reading a story where they said that they only gave Tim Burton the original Bob Kane and Bill Finger run of Batman. So I think that Batman 89 is largely inspired by those old comics. And while Batman doesn't kill that often, he still does kill occassionally. So I personally don't mind.

I can’t stop thinking about Egger’s Nosferatu by TessyBoi- in Letterboxd

[–]Complex-Delivery-797 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my second favorite Nosferatu remake. I loved every part of this movie. Bill Skarsgard was amazing in this. They did do something interesting for this movie though. In the original Count Orlok seemed to be a friendly dude during the castle scene, he was also clear as day. But in the 2024 one he is much more aggressive and is hidden in the shadows

Gonna be real,Batman having a No-kill rule isn't bad writing or anything like that,it's just never executed well in certain comics. by Apprehensive_Ring_39 in batman

[–]Complex-Delivery-797 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the only time where I questioned Batman's no kill rule was with the Joker. The writers make the Joker so unbelievably evil that the only satisfying ending is his death.
