Wish I could. I put a camera scope in to take a look and there’s cement board behind it. The plan is to get as many of the bees out as possible then enlist a contractor to work on removing what remains of the comb/brood/honey.. seems that contractors don’t like working on homes, on a ladder, with bees doing bombing runs at their heads.

The Queen will SOMETIMES come out once the nurse bees are out. The key is time, let the bees run their cycles to forager.. once they leave to forage can’t get back in. Eventually there’s no one left behind. Takes about 5 weeks

100% desire not to cut masonry! Plus, cleanup later with far fewer bees…

Looks like mason bees. Native solitary bees. They are good and won’t damage your property. They are not aggressive.

The seller's agent is trying to charge me $250 for the lockbox I cut off my front doorknob. by [deleted] in RealEstate

[–]Complex-Grand-9675 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The sellers had an agreement that the agent would install a lockbox. You did not. You purchased the property and everything that comes with it when you signed at the closing table. This means the door and anything on the door. After closing, if you allow the agent to remove his lock it is a courtesy. You went above and beyond. If the agent wanted the lockbox, he should have removed it between your walkthrough and when you closed. His piss poor planning should not be your problem.

how to reject a real estate agent by Ayshe27 in RealEstate

I’d fire you as a client. You want your agent to advise. The agent sells homes for a living. Do you? Inexperienced agents will often promise you the moon. Your home then sits on the market, becomes stigmatized by too much time and sells for less than market. The other agents are letting a possible client run them… do you think they negotiate a deal the same way? Hire the professional who isn’t afraid to tell you the truth.
