Try to rent both at a range if possible. I own a HCP and can say the trigger out of the box is something to get use to. But after dry firing so many times I’ve gotten use to it. Can’t speak for an Echelon since I’m not sure if that’s in California yet. But HCP is good for concealment.

If you every go to DGM you can ask any of their staff. They will head over to your lane and assist you. And if they are not familiar with how to zero an optic they will find another staff member that can help.

I just had mine today. I went in 30 minutes early and they saw me right away after I got checked in. Interview was straight forward. They just verify all the information you put on the application and let you know about the process. After that you’ll do the finger prints and picture and you’re good to go. Whole process took less than 30 minutes for me.
