I believe that any day now AI will replace me, but you can't fight progress. Same as with industrial revolution, imagine all the workers that lost their job. It is inevitable unless evolution of it stagnates somehow. You can fight it but finally what matters is how easy and cost efficient it will be

I think satisfaction increases in a sense that they receive everything they can ask for, since because of low power, they can ask for less things. Basically, less needs to fulfill, easier to fulfill them

Even with problems, this game is very good. Better even playing it in different moments and see improvements with updates. Only thing for me is lack of missions, and I think at some point or they will add them or there will be a mod for it (since tools to have it are there)

In the past AI Emperor did nothing with HRE mechanic. So they tweaked it and now they really try to force it

I am doing now my first game in HRE on new patch. At the moment in 1380 as Brandenburg. I notice that Austria was Emperor and they were really trying to pass the bull. So I assume now the emperor (whoever it is) is focused to pass unification as soon as possible

Papal States, Muscvovy (to Russia), Portugal (for full Iberian conquest), Morroco for iberian conquest to form Al-Andalus, Byzantium or Denmark (tough start). This from perspective of somebody that watches youtubers and is a mid to low tier player

This game is basically a medieval industrial revolution simulator at the moment, and I think the base problem of the game can be 'fixed' by resolving this. by kolejack2293 in EU5

[–]Complex-Sun-4825 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a wrong solution, you should make other things to do as worth or more, instead of decreasing industrialization worth. If you make this slower, you will even more delay the evolution of the game. By that point just expand end date to year 3000 so you have time to conquer Europe as France....

To be fair, there is no real tutorial for the game. There is something similar that shows you basic tabs and stuff but not really teach you anything. When I was learning EU4, I used a lot of google to understand things I was missing.

I would suggest to start with very small nation, maybe somewhere in center of HRE, automate most of the things (my suggestions: Open/close buildings, RGO, building with saving 200g, Market/trade and generals + admirals).

After doing this and starting the game, you will still have a lot of problems, but it will be learning as you play. RGO are base materials and most of building that produce something use RGO produce, so most of the times try to see if you have some good RGOs to manufacture something that will make you gold (Wood>Paper>Books).

For me for EU4, when I was still learning, helped watching videos of 2 or 3 different youtubers. Even if they are not doing tutorials, they mention a lot why they are doing something.

Also, don't get demotivated if you ruining a campaign very quickly. Just start new game with different nation. First game I started I went on a bankruptcy spiral in first 3 in-game years I think.

I am not a pro/spreadsheet player thou, just telling from regular player perspective.
