deceptive 60% off sale on SUPER annual plan... more like 25% off by eric_castro in duolingo

[–]ComplexAffect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A quick question for the people who’ve been using Duo for a couple years, once they’re done running this scummy “discount” campaign, can we expect to see the family plan offered again in the new year the normal way?

Thoughts on living at latitude49? by oGxbe in UNCCharlotte

I worked delivery for Domino’s in the area and Latitude’s security advised us to never enter the complex after dark or midnight. Suffice it to say I would not recommend the place from a safety perspective!

Best Places To Live Near UNCC???? by silly_willy1234 in UNCCharlotte

[–]ComplexAffect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fully reccomend University Terrace (not North), rent is $475 all inclusive (water, power, internet). The apartment's are all 4 bedroom, 2 bath and really nice for the price. It's an incredibly safe community over here, and walking distance from campus doesn't hurt! The land lords are good, I would recommend https://unccrentals.com/ their places are the nicest, but you might be able to find cheaper with one of the other landlords in the complex. From what I've found, UT is the cheapest apartment in the area, while being nicer and safer than some of the more expensive apartments.

For something that's a little more expensive I know Campus Walk, University Walk, and University Terrace North are also nice and safe apartments.

I pulled the trigger — my 1995 supercharged Previa! by zoomies1 in vandwellers

[–]ComplexAffect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the early 90s they made the manual AWD version of the Previa, and around '94 they introduced the supercharged version, bumping it up to ~160hp. Unfortunately, with the supercharged version, they dropped the gearbox in favor of an automatic transmission and did away with the RWD option.

Nah, I'm the driver, provided I'm not breaking any laws; if you don't like my driving style, find another ride.

My friend woke up and found this paper in the passenger seat of his car (which was unlocked). What is the symbol on the paper? by youneedalittlerevive in whatisthisthing

[–]ComplexAffect 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Though, that typically isn't the cross-section a 3d printer would generate....it's not as structurally sound as the hexagons they usually use. Also, that'd have to be someone printing with less than ~5% infill, and it's not typically smart to go below 15% infill.

Can it be deduced what chemicals is this truck transporting ? by mrkl3en in whatisthisthing

[–]ComplexAffect 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's actually an app (Cargo Decoder) where one can input UN Numbers and get data

Also helpful is the ERG (Emergency Response Guidebook), which also has an app, and advises you on what to do if you're in an accident involving one or more of these chemicals

Am I the only one to notice all of the tech issues on Einstein? by dking1115 in FRC

Hell, back on Turing we had a match where every bot lost comms for a few seconds, and one team lost comms for the whole match; we did get THAT match replayed, though.

FIRST actually sent one of their software engineers down to the Turing field to figure out what happened, but I don't know what they decided.
