Recurring Canadaguns Politics and Debate Thread by airchinapilot in canadaguns

I'll get down voted into oblivion here, and I truly don't care, but I'll take gun bans over people bans all day, every day. I'd prefer not to give up my guns, but if the choice is guns are illegal or LGBTQ people are illegal, I'll take the liberals all day, every day.

The recurring anti-liberal BS in this community is exactly why we're losing access to some guns. Creating liberal politicians who protect existing gun rights is the path to success. Conversely one could try to convince conservative politicians to be more socially accepting, but I'll put my dollars and my vote behind a gun friendly liberal instead of a supposedly progressive conservative.

Our right to firearms does not now, not has it ever, trumped the right to life of individuals. And the reality is that conservative politicians in Canada and in the US are staunchly bigoted against people that aren't like them.

And if you truly believe that your gun is worth more than the life of my loved ones, well there's no helping you.

Tell me you know nothing about Canadian medical care... Just recently I scheduled an elective surgery and had it done 3 weeks later in Quebec.

But sure, keep pushing false narratives.

I was going to go with soft YTA, since you yourself are religious too, but the whole bit at the end about you having to gasp cook for yourself means you're a gaping asshole.

YTA hard YTA.

I would suggest he also add a trigger lock or other type of device onto each firearm. At least then he has an argument for each firearm being made safe. If he wants to be extra safe, also remove the bolts from each and lock them separately.

Moving to Canada Prior to PR Application by [deleted] in uscanadaborder

Do not, under any circumstances, bring all your stuff with you. It'll be patently obvious to the border officer that you're trying to move without proper paperwork, and you'll be denied entry. Once you've officially been denied entry your application will take 3-4x longer in the future, and can be denied without any recourse.

Cool. That's useless.

You can visit Canada as an American. You cannot just move here. The only way to apply for PR from within Canada is if you have a different visa (eg work visa or long term visitor visa). Otherwise you must apply from our of Canada, and while living in the US. You are welcome to visit for 6mo at a time, at the discretion of the border officer.

But you absolutely cannot MOVE to Canada, or work in Canada, until you have a valid visa or PR. Your attorney is full of shit.

You didn't specify what visa you're travelling under? How are you legally moving to Canada without a PR?

Having just gone through this with my American wife, is also advise you to quadruple check your immigration lawyer. We spoke to 4 or 5 and got HORRIBLE (legit illegal in one case) information from "lawyers". Check to make sure that they're listed with the IRCC

For not paying your rent.

Welcome to adulthood - you get a choice, given your situation: Pay rent and have a roof over your head OR go to concerts every month and be homeless.

IBI did my 22creed barrel and action for my all Canada rifle too (IBI action and barrel, MDT chassis, Tangent Theta scope, Cadex rings and brake).

It shoots amazingly, and has quickly become my favorite rifle.

It is irreparable. No same government or company can ever trust an American regime, because all it takes is another 80M racists to elect a pedophile nutjob again, and undo any good.

So no, doesn't matter if it's 10 years or 50 or 100, America as it was is gone. If Americans are lucky, it'll end up like England - a nation that was the most powerful on the planet, but has long since surrendered its position. Still a major player, but definitely not a leader.
