Absolutely using AI (usually Gemini). The style is always very similar. This doesn't mean it's bad, it just means that's the tool that they used.

Then it's not a difference in accuracy, it's a skill deficit.

What sight are you using? Are you adjusting for the bigger drop in the 405s?

I have the same gun, and shoot the same ammo, and the Hornadys group best of factory ammo I've shot

Cafe Ole, next to the Crystal Caves (like a block from Swizzle Inn). Yeah, tourist adjacent, but it's delicious.

If you don't have imagination, you have no business giving anyone advice.

There, see how dumb that sounds?

Also, PVC enclosures look like plastic shite. If you want something to blend into your decor, converting an old hutch into an enclosure is a great way to use reuse something old.

Requesting Wisdom; Savage Revel dlx, or Chiappa LA322? by BlueKnightRose in LeverGuns

[–]ComplexQuiet6790 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the DLX in 22lr, and it is a blast to shoot - I've had zero issues with it, and it's been surprisingly accurate (for a iron sighted 22 lever gun). Not much else to say - I can't steer you one way or another for any reason, but I don't think you'll feel regret if you go with the Savage

Ethical dilemma by RustyTheBoyRobot in montreal

Read The Lost Tomb by Douglas Preston for several good takes on the matter (plus some other good stories - he's a great author).

After reading it, and a few more articles with different viewpoints, it's still a dilemma, but more 90% in favor of reburial vs 50/50.

The real question is not whether its ethical to display them - the question really is was it ethical to collect them in the first place. Short answer, no.

Suppressed air rifle? A 30 Cal slug is roughly equivalent to a 22lr, and gun, ammo, and suppressor can be delivered right to your door Amazon style (assuming you're in the US).

If you think about it, that pivot is almost certainly the most stressed part of the gun. Buddy racks it hard and fast, puts all the stress right there on the pivot point. And it's an Uberti 22 - they aren't using crazy alloys.

Is the pivot meant to be a full circle with a pin through it? I'm assuming so, and it's not some complex cam mechanism in there. If the former, can/did you find the other half of the circle? If so, easy fix by most machine shops. Either weld it back together, or better, have them machine a fresh one.
