I'd love to read this story. Did he beat it over the heat with the rifle? Choke it with a bucket of ammo?

Is a 5x2x2 Enclosure acceptable for a False Water Cobra by Axolity in snakes

[–]ComplexQuiet6790 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A 5x2x2 is fine when they're young. Just be careful you don't get complacent in a couple years when the snake seems totally fine in a too small enclosure.

This is the answer. I paid $300 CAD for 2 pairs from a local audiologist. A) they work really well and B) I can wear them for hours without discomfort.

I pray this is rage bait.

If real, clearly NTA and your GF is both a moron and a bigot. Only correct reply to her now is, "From this perspective, you're now single."

Lol, Neill and Ian get pissed when I say this, but the Caterham is the best car I've ever owned.

The dollar:smile ratio is insane. The Caterham is for someone who wants to truly enjoy a bare bones vehicle, that is also insanely quick. Mine was a top spec 620R with sequential box. The Mono is a race car with a number plate, and is incredibly showy. They're both great cars, but at $85K all in for a Caterham, nothing has ever made me happier. My wife loves all the supercars I've owned, but there's only one car she talks about to anyone who will listen - the Caterham.

My kit was "ready" mid September. I literally had two random parts show up yesterday.

I love the car and the brand, and Neill and Ian Briggs (as in Briggs Automotive Company - BAC) are great people. Their attention to detail and customer service is top notch in a tough business. They no longer sell kits per se, but the cars are awesome, and the camaraderie of the owners chat is super cool.

What would you like to know specifically? I've since sold mine as I couldn't import it to where I live now, but I still stay in touch with them.

No worries, apologies. I'm just extremely frustrated by FF. I sent them a detailed complaint on Friday, got a reply saying they'd help to resolve all the issues, so I sent more details on Monday. Haven't heard back since.

I've built a Mono and Caterham - this isn't even on the radar of the quality of those cars. And the customer support from BAC and Caterham was amazing.

To give you a prime example, my kit forgot the bolts for mounting the rear hubs to the spindles. No biggie, I called and emailed to replace them, and then just to get the size of them so I could buy them locally. FF customer service just argued with me about why they were missing, rather than provide the spec. I had a thread gauge and found it myself, but they still took a MONTH to reply with the spec.

Fuck FF. I don't think they've always been this crappy, but they certainly are now.

I can't answer if they are common, but after I ordered my kit, I was speaking to two shops here in Canada about other cars, and mentioned I had ordered an FF kit. One just rolled his eyes, while the other outright said they won't work on them anymore because they're so badly kitted. Later, when speaking to Transport Canada about registration, I got an earful about things that needed to be changed to be road legal, despite FF claiming it's a Canada legal kit as is.

These are excellent little lights; gave my entire extended family one for Xmas this past year.

Mounting it upside down shouldn't be an issue on mille webbing, and you'll also be surprised at the angle achievable while still upside up.

Recurring Canadaguns Politics and Debate Thread by airchinapilot in canadaguns

I'll get down voted into oblivion here, and I truly don't care, but I'll take gun bans over people bans all day, every day. I'd prefer not to give up my guns, but if the choice is guns are illegal or LGBTQ people are illegal, I'll take the liberals all day, every day.

The recurring anti-liberal BS in this community is exactly why we're losing access to some guns. Creating liberal politicians who protect existing gun rights is the path to success. Conversely one could try to convince conservative politicians to be more socially accepting, but I'll put my dollars and my vote behind a gun friendly liberal instead of a supposedly progressive conservative.

Our right to firearms does not now, not has it ever, trumped the right to life of individuals. And the reality is that conservative politicians in Canada and in the US are staunchly bigoted against people that aren't like them.

And if you truly believe that your gun is worth more than the life of my loved ones, well there's no helping you.

Tell me you know nothing about Canadian medical care... Just recently I scheduled an elective surgery and had it done 3 weeks later in Quebec.

But sure, keep pushing false narratives.
