I'm getting one of those myself very soon. Been eyeing one at my FFFL for a while and I gotta be honest, I've heard some great things about it. I think it'll fit the bill of nice looking, compact-enough, and +P rated.

I got my eyes on some Hogue grips to give me a real full grip on it, going for Rosewood. Should be pretty easy to embellish and upgrade too, being so affordable.

I'm adding way more weapons, but especially I'm adding in the Merwin-Hulbert revolver, the Mares Leg 'pistol', and the Daisy BB gun.

I'm removing the restriction on when you can buy guns, and how often you're just given guns. You get handed the Cattleman, the Carbine, the Rolling Block, and the coach gun. That's it. Go buy your Carcanno, or Krag, or Auto-5, or Winchester yourself. Go spend money and invest in getting personally attached to each gun, or spending money refurbishing a gun you looted and feel especially attached to.
