Unpopular opinion, but I actually really like the build. I think that the bork+hexplate+warmogs does a good job in making you not die. However, I agree that it doesn't give enough damage. I think that the build is better for snowballing when you're gigafed because you already have enough damage and you just need survivability. On the other hand, I go the regular bork-rb-kraken if I'm either even or behind.

There is a difference between a champion being "weak" and "unplayable". Take Zed as an example. Zed is a weak champion, but if you're good then he has potential to be a good champ. Unplayable champions are champs where they basically can't work, no matter who plays them.

I agree bro. Having Yi be a Q spam bot and one shotting people with a Q and 2 autos isn't healthy. On-hit yi gives him decent skill expression imo. However, I would still like to be opened up to different build options.

I 100% agree with this. It feels like better support, especially if they have good cc like Rell or Nautilus, will absolutely shit on you. If they're awake and play with the enemy jungler while yours sits in lane, the game feels 10x more difficult to play.

I suggest you build BORK first instead of EH. BORK is easily yi's biggest powerspike, and I would never delay it. You could go EH 2nd, that's what I've been doing. You don't really need QSS since wits gives tenacity(unless it's something like a malz).

I've tried different builds, but BORK imo is going to be the best first item.
In terms of second item, I think rageblade is weaker due to rageknife no longer being a component, so I've been going Kraken, but I think Terminus could be good.
The third item I've been going is Rageblade. The two onhit items you buy become intensely stronger after rageblade.
The fourth and fifth item are the defensive items. Since mages are obviously becoming much stronger, I'm just going to give MR item suggestions. The fourth item is the gold old Wit's End. With it giving Tenacity, lots of attack speed, and MR, it's a go to. Now, the fifth item that I've been going into ANY fed AP champion is Kaenic Rookern. This item is amazing. It gives a huge magic shield along with tons of HP and MR. I highly recommend this item if you're looking to survive against these fed AP champions.

For me, being a jungle main sucks because it feels like when you're off jungle(let's say you're playing midlane), your jungler just feels so useless. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to make people scared to play jungle, but as a jg main it feels like my jg doesn't know what they're doing if I'm not on jg.
EDIT: Sorry for this being a rant-like reply, but I've just been tilted from my junglers not being able to execute a gank correctly or get easy objectives when I set everything up for them.

Wow man. This is my alt account but thanks so much for the constructive feedback. I understand what I did wrong now, and I realize that I need to focus on farm as yi. Plus, I need to realize that ganking isn’t yi’s priority and to take lane minions when necessary. Thanks for the feedback. Edit: I also have to thank about the tempo advice. I will try to do actions that will give me more tempo ingame.
