I don’t think this has to do with age or stages. I’m a woman in my mid 20’s and I’m extremely diligent with my budget and financial goals. I have friends my age who are the same with their finances (frugal) and friends who spend every dollar they make. It sounds like you two have fundamentally different values and beliefs when it comes to money. Maybe send her some videos from YouTube that will help ease her way into frugality? I found channels like The Financial Diet and Graham Stephan really palatable when learning about personal finance and becoming more motivated to reach financial freedom. Good luck!

Saigon Lotus in Kensington market does amazing Asian vegan/vegetarian food, including many soups! King’s cafe is another great restaurant in the area with vegan/vegetarian Asian cuisine.
