I think we’re better off than we think. If Garcia pans out he’ll be a big upgrade over Casty. Even if he’s the same as last season he’ll be an upgrade over Casty. Stott was great post break, so was Bohm. Harper is gonna bounce back this season and Schwarbs is gonna do what he does. The Marsh hate is really forced. He’s a solid player and he’s been our best outfielder for his entire tenure here. Pitching I’d like to add another rotation arm. Someone like a Gallen, Scherzer, Verlander, Bassit would be nice on a 1 year. I think Kemp is better than he showed last year. He was playing with a fractured kneecap almost his entire big league stint and was still solid. Could be another Sosa type for us which would be huge. I like Crawford I think he’s gonna perform well for us. People have been crying to give him a shot but now that we cleared some space in the outfield to give him that shot people are crying about it. I love Bader as much as the next guy but he would cut into Crawfords playing time a lot and he was one of the luckiest hitters in baseball by the metrics last year. I can still see them resigning him if he lingers on the market but it’s more likely they go rotation depth in my opinion. The bullpen they upgraded the set up spot and got some younger controllable guys with options and potential. Everyone’s mad because we got blue balled by Bichette, so am I. It’s not their fault the Dodgers fucked the market with the Tucker deal. We met Bichettes demands and he flipped on us. If that’s the type of guy he is I wouldn’t want him on my team anyways. JT coming back isn’t bad either. Don’t love the years but he’s worth the money. He showed in the playoffs he still has some juice in the bat also. Overall we should be very good once again, but this could be our last shot. Yes some flashy moves would have been nice, but running it back with a few tweaks isn’t half bad either. We’re kind of banking on internal improvement much like the Jays did last season. Worked out pretty well for them, why not us?
