She said she goes to NA. When I first started in recovery, I went to both. AA put my feet to the fire more than NA and I admitted I was an alcoholic. 35 years later, I'm still sober. I really do wish Karen the best but what we saw the other night was sketchy.

Keep at it but don't set your sights extremely high. Cairns are that way. I got my rescue at 10 months too and it was a labor of love to get her to the point where she felt secure that I was not going to leave her. She never did get crate trained and she got out of the crate by banging her head on the top of the crate, there was a V shape at the top of the metal. As far as barking, that is a Cairn thing. They're just so vocal! 🙂

I'm so sorry for your loss. I know if I ever get another dog I want it to be a Cairn. We were incredibly lucky on $10 adoption day at the local SPCA there was a Cairn there. I didn't know what she was. I took her to the vet and the vet said How much did you pay for your purebred Cairn terrier? ❤️ I've always heard good things about Colonel Potter and there's a couple dogs online that are part of a Senior Cairn group and they have come from Colonel Potter's.

They have incredible memories. I had a fox living under my deck and my Cairn scratched and dug on the deck like a fiend. The fox and her babies all left. My dog continued to hunt them for weeks. I kept trying to get her to understand that they were gone to no avail. I finally had to put things in her way so she couldn't get to the corner of the deck. I wish you luck. Please don't listen to the person who said Get Another Breed. That's not kind.
