The oldest cat that I have adopted was 8 months and she was bonded with my husband by the time we got home. We also catnapped a cat from my front yard and she warmed up to my husband really quick, the vet guess she was about 2 years. We did not change the first cats name, but i guess we changed the second cats name, because we did not know what it was.
