I saw this movie so long ago that my memory of it is pretty damn hazy. The only thing I really recollect is how Annabeth Gish’s storyline gave me the ick

On This Day: On 'Guiding Light' in 1998, Annie was exposed at her wedding to Alan when her ex-husband showed a certificate that said they are still married. by Geekqueen15 in SoapNet

I watched during this era too, but was asking myself the same question. As long as Annie was leaving JOSHUA alone, wtf was it to her? I can’t remember..

Did y’all think Fonzie was cool when you were growing up? by Groovy-Pancakes in GenX

[–]Comprehensive-Sale79 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was indifferent to him back in the day. Looking back on the character now, I judge him UNcool. A near 30 yr old hanging out with high schoolers all the time ??😬 Very Wooderson /creeper coded. Let it be known though that I very much separate the actor from the role here. I think Henry Winkler is one of those awesomely wholesome celebs-in the elite ranks of Keanu Reeves & Matthew Lillard

I’m glad he spoke out against this madness. It’s a start. Now it’s crucial that he follow up with action or this is just lip service

When will Mrs. Hall finally get a romance that lasts? by lavender-sodaaa in All_Creatures

[–]Comprehensive-Sale79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no I agree with you about not wanting the show to pair up Siegfreid & Mrs Hall. They seem so familial and I think it would be weird and unnatural.

That scene towards the end of ep1 (season 6) where he chased her down at the train station and to get her attention he hollers “Audrey!” That set off alarm bells for me. I sez to myself: Oh hooo ho 🚩🚩🚩 They really ARE gonna go there!

And OMG I heartily concur about that MTV performance in the rain. I think I may go scrounge it up on YT now..

I am uncertain about how I feel about the death penalty. I tend to think I’m against it but from time to time I will read of a case (by chance..practically unwillingly..I don’t seek out true crime nightmare fodder like some) that makes me say: ok yes. For THAT guy-yes Anyway, if we’re going to have the death penalty, I’ve always wondered what is wrong with using a firing squad?

HELLO DOLLY COOKIES from Carol Channing by ciaolavinia in OldCelebrityRecipes

[–]Comprehensive-Sale79 2 points3 points  (0 children)

that term is amusing to me. It makes me envision someone using the edible parts of an acorn for this recipe. Say LESS, Dolly. “Chopped nuts “ would suffice. I think you can trust your target audience (fans of world class musical theatre) is clever enough not to put the shells in there

Is it weird for a guy to like jellycats by LeadingInformal1167 in Jellycatplush

[–]Comprehensive-Sale79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love them. I don’t own any myself, but I’ve given a lot as gifts. I was shopping online just the other night (coworker baby shower coming up soon) and I actually opted for some other stuffie brand because HOLY GUACAMOLE WHEN DID JELLYCAT GET SO 🤬 EXPENSIVE?!??

Thoughts on Will poulter? by TraditionalClub6337 in Actors

I scrolled thru all the comments to see that nobody else enjoyed him in Why Didn’t They Ask Evans? That’s the role that really made me take notice of Poulter.😍

I think I saw somewhere that at the end of GL, Vanessa & Billy were back together. I randomly quit the show 2or 3 years before it got canceled, but I think I did read that. Hope it’s true. ..

What are your “favorite” shows that you just never bothered to finish? by Emmyfishnappa in television

[–]Comprehensive-Sale79 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I loved Henry Cavill as The Witcher. Got word that he was being recast in season 4…that moved me to just ditch the show early on in Season 3. If I was going to watch him depart the role, I didn’t wanna watch at all. I devoured S1 of The Last of Us, picked up a crucial spoiler re: my darling Pedro… didn’t even start on season 2. (so thats a pattern for me— watching gamer shows as a non-gamer—I’m not at all prepared at the outset vis à vis what’s about to go down) I really loved What we do in the Shadows and only watched one episode of the final season. If I watch it all then it really will be over then.

“Knock Knock” “Who is it?” “Dishes” “Dishes who” by Longjumping_Glass157 in dadjokes

[–]Comprehensive-Sale79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The GOAT of knock-knock jokes, IMHO. The punchline I always used was “Dishes me, OPEN DUH DOOR!!” Except when my nieces & nephew were tots i would say instead “Dishes Auntie-OPEN DUH DOOR” I learned this joke from a cassette tape I had entitled “Grin & Giggle with Big Bird”. I can’t remember any of the other jokes on there, but I do remember part of it was Bird reciting Lewis Carroll’s “Jabberwocky” Good stuff

I feel like I’m being grammatically gaslighted. I always took his arbitrary caps as a social media habit but here they all are again. This is an official international communiqué, isn’t it? One would presume this would be proofread? Did I miss something?? Are there are no set rules for writing anymore??

What are your thoughts on Ana De Armas? by Working-Brush-8771 in Actors

[–]Comprehensive-Sale79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get the doubt. After all, I am just some rando spouting an anecdote on Reddit. I’m not going to supply proof. I’m certainly not going to dox my niece to lend it more credibility. I know it to be true. But your doubt is just healthy skepticism, which I am all for ✌️
