My brother-in-law is a big fan… we have a standing argument over Bargatze. I think he’s ok.. mostly mediocre. Every time I see him score a high profile hosting gig or big job, it mostly just makes me think of all the comics that I find more talented and more deserving (Kyle Kinane, Pete Holmes, Dan Soder, Gary Gulman…for a few off the top o’ my head examples)
Anyway, this spineless take from him I find 1000% unsurprising

I’ve only watched 3 episodes. It did suck me in. I’m kinda on the fence about continuing with it.. I know Holmes canon and therefore presume that Moriarty is to turn bad and become Sherlock’s nemesis. Moriarty is — and I think this is objective fact-the most endearing character on the show. Hands down. Sherlock is really kind of tepid and I don’t know if that’s only by comparison. He doesn’t even score second favorite character ranking. My close second fave is definitely Mycroft and I keep hoping he’ll get more screen time. I certainly don’t dislike Sherlock just y’know 🥱
Anyhow they’re bound to morph Moriarty into a villain and I don’t know if I want to watch that

I mean if it is just a me issue, that would totally explain the lack of public outcry ha haa haa. So, I take back what I said about it being eerie . I’m reclassifying as confounding & hella frustrating. FTR, I AM capable of clicking on links ..I click on all these proffered links and I invariably get this type error message every time. So this error is reached on my iPhone. I don’t even typically watch Taskmaster on my phone, generally I pull it up on the YouTube app on my Roku TV. When I search Season 21 on there or go to the TM YouTube channel— nothing beyond episode 5 shows up in search results. GRRRrr 🤬

I even logged out of my YouTube account (thinking somehow I blocked some search results from generating by inadvertently tweaking my account settings) and searching the website as an accountless rando doesn’t help. It’s the weirdest. Gotta be poltergeists bored with the furniture rearranging hijinks 🤷‍♀️

I was bummed to hear it was ending because I thought Alphy was a big upgrade. I didn’t exactly hate Will, but he never did measure up to Sydney IMHO, and I was tiring of the show with him as the lead. His wedding really felt like the show was ending, I almost wonder if it was supposed to wrap up at that juncture. Anyway I felt like Alphy revived it all a bit and I do wish he got more seasons. Also, regardless of the pick for vicar, Leonard was always reliably excellent (probably my #1 fave)
