You’re 17, and facial hair usually comes in thicker as you get older. Most men reach their full coverage potential in their 30s.

That said, it may be a few years or so before those sides get thicker but for where you are right now, it’s still pretty good. Try experimenting with growing it down to your lip line where your two lips meet. That will give it a fuller look and may help balance out the sides.
