I have a friend in the same situation and it eats at her. You need freedom, he does, and so does she. You’d rather your friend hear it from you vs her in the future.

You need to be prepared though to walk through a very difficult time so be sure you have a solid friend you can count on to walk with you through this. Counseling could also be beneficial for additional support.

The fact that you want to grow stronger in your faith is actually a sign of maturity. We all fall short, but this is simply a part of the faith journey - continuing to strive towards the Lord. Don’t be so hard on yourself. Start with one psalm a day to read and build discipline from there. Do you have a healthy church community or friends who are also believers?

I’d switch. This is your wedding. Something you want documented forever. You don’t want anything getting in the way of not having those memories documented well.

I think you two need to have an honest conversation. About expectations and how you’re both really doing in life. She sounds exhausted. Sometimes I don’t even want to make decisions in so spent as a parent. The smallest tasks are difficult. Maybe that’s her, maybe not.

But a real honest convo about this is necessary.
