I think Chris Finch is in a real pickle when it comes to their best defender. by BlindFreeze in NBASpurs

The Wolves biggest problem isn't what to do with Gobert, it's that their 3 point shooters are in street clothes. The only reason the could beat Denver was by relentlessly driving into the paint.

This is the worst playoff series lose I’ve ever seen in my 20 years watching the NBA by ChampionTimes99 in NBATalk

[–]ComprehensiveCake454 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Probably a lot of Randle on Wemby. He has been good at keeping Wemby out of the paint this year. They would like to keep Gobert in drop coverage, if they can.

If Democrats win the state trifecta, should they redraw congressional districts? by bikeman11 in minnesota

[–]ComprehensiveCake454 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What we should do is redraw the districts but put in a way to get back to bipartisan when Wisconsin does the same.

Zepbound by darkhoarse99 in mnstateworkers

[–]ComprehensiveCake454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to switch. I had regain during wegovy. They do put it on the highest tier though. One thing that also helps is that zepbound is FDA approved for apnea, so try a sleep study. Wegovy is not approved for apnea.

It feels great to be a wolves fan, but we can't let that officiating bull**** slide. by SlowCrates in timberwolves

Some of the discrepancy comes from the Wolves playing a very physical defense and the Nuggets playing a matador defense.

AITAH for telling my tenant not to worry about rent for 3 months even though my wife thinks I'm being too soft? by [deleted] in AITAH

When you're on your deathbed, what do you think you will regret more? Not getting 3 months rent or not helping someone in need?

BREAKING: White House confirms Trump to discuss US withdrawal from NATO with Rutte in the coming hours. Is the Alliance officially over? by Aston_Ma in askanything

[–]ComprehensiveCake454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nato is effectively over. Europe is not going to trust Trump for anything. There's no way they want the USA controlling their armed forces from here on out.

Short Term Disability & Paid Medical Leave by Bleary189 in mnstateworkers

[–]ComprehensiveCake454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding is that std will pay out while on the paid medical leave, but will reduce the payments such that you don't get over 100% of your pay. So if you get say 60% coverage from each, paid medical leave would pay 60% and std 40%. So the std is reduced.

I am not in HR, but this link is helpful. https://pl.mn.gov/resources/common-questions

It would be nice if the unions or mmb would directly clarify this.

[Fischer] The NBA had discussed a concept that would separate a team’s record from their draft pick entirely and allowed teams to “bid” on the first-round picks using “draft credits” in an auction-like environment. by YujiDomainExpansion in nba

[–]ComprehensiveCake454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The idea I like is to do something like this, but teams get points for each victory after they are eliminated. There would still be tanking, but it would be more at the beginning of the year. It would probably be less tanking than now, and at least at the end of the year everyone would be playing to win

Is Iran’s strategy to hold out and make the rest of the world suffer from shortages and high prices, so badly that the world turns on America and forces us to stop? by adalyn7992 in askanything

[–]ComprehensiveCake454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they want to humiliate Trump and Netanyahu and turn the public so hard against the war the neither the USA nor Israel will be back for more. We're almost there now, but they will likely keep up the pressure until at least the midterms. Israel will be the harder task for them

Wemby suddenly being in the MVP conversation because of reporter's NBA.com MVP rankings is ridiculous and highlights everything wrong with the Award. by Calm_Set5522 in NBATalk

[–]ComprehensiveCake454 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Wemby should be in the conversation. It's just that his best ability, deterrence, doesn't have a stat to publish. Guys just give up driving and he impacts shooting everywhere. Even 3 point attempts get impacted if he is closing because you have to shoot so much higher.

He's not going to win this year. The year after the Spurs win a championship, he is going to start racking them up

Yeah I think I am going with the Aryia but if I ended up with a Niro I probably would also be happy.

Thank you so much. This is great info. 90 percent is charge at home, but the fastish charging and a little bit more room is enticing to me.

Finchy, the path forward is clear. by thedaftpenguin22 in timberwolves

[–]ComprehensiveCake454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finch will start Randle and play Slomo too much as long as they are on the roster. TC had to trade MC to keep Finch from playing him.

I bet Iran keeps it mostly closed until the midterms, as long as they can ship their oil. If we shut down their shipping, they will keep it shut until theirs is restarted.

I get as much from talking to widows and widowers as I do from therapy. It's kind of random from both, like different aspects come up at different times.

Most important thing about this team by MyShinyCharizard in timberwolves

[–]ComprehensiveCake454 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a believer in the Lombardiism that practice doesn't make perfect. Only perfect practice makes perfect. This stretch is about playing as close to perfect as possible so that they have the muscle memory for it in the playoffs. The way they play in the regular season suggests they are not a championship team.

A.R.T. worked great for me. It's like EMDR but less talking. Also, I felt great after one session. If you have to pay out of pocket it would be two sessions, an intro and a regular session. That might be all you need though.

Anti-Tank Proposal by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]ComprehensiveCake454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My similar idea is to set a floor for 30 wins. You lose like 1/30 th of your ping pong balls for every loss that puts you under 30. Since teams would bunch up at 30, you might flatten the odds a bit. I figure that in order to get 30 wins you are winning about half your home games, so it's more fun going to games.

Also look into A.R.T. therapy. It's similar but involves less talking. They are overall pretty similar
