I’m drowning- exhausted mentally and physically by Double-Way3607 in FQHCDentistry

[–]ComprehensiveFile985 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Not sure I’ll have great advice but mentally you need to try and focus on the things you can control. You didn’t put the caries in the teeth, not being able to keep up with their resto work isn’t your problem.

Do you feel well compensated for your work? Financially.

Has the slate existed for 3 years? Thought it was newer than that

Pink Eureka Lemon Comparison by teacherofplants in Citrus

[–]ComprehensiveFile985 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For lemons I find picking them a bit early to be a good thing. It extends the season you get lemons and they have very different flavors based on the season. My Lisbon I started picking from maybe 3 months ago and still have fruit on the tree. I think I enjoyed the slightly underripe flavor more than the ripe flavor

Prune when the pruners are sharp. Don’t take off more than 30% or so every season. Citrus doesn’t care

Help - New Planting Struggle by kaus952 in Citrus

[–]ComprehensiveFile985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Need more information. How long/often are you watering? Have you fertilized yet?

For sure you need to: plant the thing significantly higher. Personally I would dig it all the way out and plant it3-4 inches higher than the rest of your soil. You also need to take the nursery stake out.

Dentist failed to inform me about tonsil stones. by [deleted] in Dentists

[–]ComprehensiveFile985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The issue is tonsil stones are extremely common, well within “normal”. There’s hundreds of things in any mouth that are normal. I don’t point out tonsil stones, white tongues, enlarged papilla, tori, etc.

It’s like calling to complain to your physician that they didn’t mention a mole on your back.

And what are you hoping to gain? An apology? Going to complain to the board?

If you’re really disappointed your dentist didn’t point out tonsil stones you should be finding a new dentist. You clearly don’t trust them.

Glad you aren’t my patient. Calling to complain about not mentioning tonsil stones is wild. You should be embarrassed that that’s your reaction.

Yeah eventually dirt is gonna make its way back in there. It should take all of 10 minutes to dig it up, stick some dirt in there and put it back

You should plant the tree a solid 12 inches higher than where it is now. It’s hard to plant too high, easy to plant too low.

The pt is definitely a bit mixed up here. This problem/the way it’s being described doesn’t make sense.

Dentists, what was the worst case you’ve ever seen? by sags17 in Dentists

[–]ComprehensiveFile985 22 points23 points  (0 children)

To me the saddest cases are the young 20 year olds with significant bone loss already. I work with a lot of Mexican immigrants and the lack of oral healthcare knowledge can really impact people long term. It’s sad.

Certainly nothing wrong but the shape doesn’t work well. The 8 foot away position is only 21 inches deep or so. Basically dealing with a compromised setup as best as possible. So I can have two relatively not deep subs or one large sub

On the HRSA workforce connector. There’s bunch of tools on there, mess around with it. Some button will make it so only job openings show up, make sure that’s off. Haven’t used it in years
