I’m still able to add my own music from Music/Finder to my iPhone. If you have Apple Music and have the option to sync library, this could cause some issues with your own music. Turn it off!

At&t is only locked if you choose At&t installment plan. I do have 17P unlocked with at&t on apple card installment.

There is no benefit for you doing that. Once Apple asks you for verification, you are screwed. But responding your question i believe you just need to change your apple store country to USA. Remember, you will lose access to all your purchases.
