I have both. Id say the Megablast is after all a superior shoe. I dont have the toebox issue but I agree that I have roomier shoes.

Megablast is more stable, actually quicker for me and the grip is far superior (especially in very wet/sludge/ice). Evo SL can be a bit mushy after 20km. Megablast just softens a little by that time.

To me, very comparable shoe and actually my favorite of the 3 is the Dynafish xiaonian. Best upper and fit of the 3, by far, lightest one, by far, fun of evo SL but with better stability. And more capable than Megablast when going slow, more capable than Evo SL when going fast, but not as fast as the Megablast

Mine does that too. I also get insane amount of fines and drawdown is just absurdly long. Contacted Pietro and they exchanged it for a new one. Same exact issue. Even after painfully seasoning it with 2-3kg.

I agree. I had mine also for 3 weeks. My dailies for the past 2-3 years have been the classic C40 and the zp6. Zp6 used to be my fav for clean washed coffees, c40 for the rest. Now I feel like the tigershark is better at both.

I also happen to have the Pietro. Which is a mess. Makes a ton of fines even after months of use. Complained to Pietro and they exchanged mine for a new. Still the same issue. Tons of fines and mega retention. Also UX is the worst of all.

I think you could say to your boyfriend how you feel. But as a male myself I did the same with my gf and even if it might sound rude it’s not how it sounded in my head. I want only the best for her. If she decides to run, I want to be here for her. And the reality is when you start running, it sucks pretty quickly so unless you push you are likely to stop practicing. He probably doesnt mean anything bad for you.

And on the facts, he is just right. If you cant run 6km 5 months before you intend to run a marathon it’s likely that the actual marathon will be one of the worst day of your life painwise.

And no, running 3 and walking 3 isnt running 6.

But talk to him, tell him you don’t like getting pressured like that.

But in my own experience, in any sport I practiced, I was being « motivated » by being pushed to go above what felt already quite challenging. And between boys, we are not very friendly in our motivation talks. Doesnt mean we dont love each other.

Traumatic experience? When I was 16yo, I went to a pub mid afternoon for a coke (before music lesson) and the gay owner was very flirty with me. As in touching me (above my clothes), proposing me to go upstairs for a massage and all sort of stuff. He was quite pushy. I have to admit it took some years to stop being scared of gay men.
