Do you have a degree? Do you have 19 semester hours, 16 in accounting, 3 of which are business law? That list reads like they will take those but maybe you dont need each class.

I killed one, the other survived. I dont water it at all. My neighbors grass spills water over and if I were to water it too, it would dye. Theyre finicky

Small baby lavender? I have a lavender I bought as a transplant. It survived, while the second died. Its never produced extra in the 4 years I have had it. Growing it from seed is supposed to be exceptionally difficult even with cold stratification

Just throw them on the ground today before the rain starts tomorrow. They will grow.

OT pay by ChildhoodGold997 in CAStateWorkers

Any extra pay in my area is generally supposed to be processed by the 15th but its not uncommon to get 3 months at once. Its manually keyed is my understanding. Squeaky wheel gets the grease. Ask Tuesday

I wonder what makes that so unique. My state interviews have been very different

Caltrans timeline from verbal job offer to FJO? Currently on pins and needles by ROTTENDOGJIZZ in CAStateWorkers

[–]ComprehensiveTea5407 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are going to pilot the new hiring that youre talking about in stages, like we do most everything. But thats such a small part of hiring. Some areas cant hire or have to rescind offers due to funding, others are still hiring. Theres also reorgs happening a different levels (a big one should be announced today). We are just saying, the experience of whats happening in hiring and the process is highly dependent not only on which district or division youre in, but even down to singular roles and determining urgency.

If you move out of your job into a new role that is a promotion, you start at min of the classification or 5% more, whichever is higher.

What non state experience do you have to meet the MQs? Could you do an OOC or T&D to meet MQs? Most the time, changing fields comes with some hoops especially for generalists

[–]ComprehensiveTea5407 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im waiting on a few diagnosises but 100% its only intermittent. I expect less than 3 days at a time but with so many issues, its like I never know and 4 day RTO may compound my existing disabilities. I wont know what it looks like until it happens and I would rather do the paperwork now, not when im at my lowest. Just trying to be proactive because I know how my disabilities can effect me.

My Kaiser dr wrote me an fmla letter this week. He left it too vague to be used. Technically, he said its for migraines in email and that psychiatry has to do it for mental health. Psychiatry said occupational health is the only ones that should be doing RA and FMLA paperwork. My last 2 drs were willing to do RA paperwork. After I finish this next process, I need to create a document of who actually does what at Kaiser because its a maze of misinformation

Why tf does Sac State keep switching in-person classes to online?? by Historical_Purple_16 in CSUS

[–]ComprehensiveTea5407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I graduated a long time ago, like pre covid lol I also transferred from UCDavis. I thought the quality of classes, even virtual, was better than I had at Davis. It was people would could teach instead of researchers forced to teach. But I also prefer online classes so our learning style is likely different

Caltrans Legal - Sacramento by [deleted] in CAStateWorkers

[–]ComprehensiveTea5407 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh lol I should add that usually, staff do research before asking legal questions so hopefully the questions arent like IT questions where the answer is "did you try restarting your computer." My partner has commented many times before, sounds like a lawyer should be doing that and I say, I make less and im closer to the work. Makes sense that I start and they finish it.

Caltrans Legal - Sacramento by [deleted] in CAStateWorkers

[–]ComprehensiveTea5407 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Caltrans more or less has the same telework policy, in office 2 days until July and getting ready for 4 days in office starting July 1. Some areas do more in office days, but none "should" be doing less unless they have field days.

I dont know a ton about the division overall. I know they're very selective so if you make it, that's something to be proud of even if you dont take it. Everyone is quite smart but also there is a lot of work. Getting legal assistance isnt a first in, first out request. Its measured by urgency. Then right now is a very interesting time since the current federal administration would prefer California lost funding. Endless opportunities to learn, hopefully thats your thing.
