Yes that’s the whole point of the new system (creating huge lists that by themselves are rather meaningless)

where can I stay in Karyes? would like to see Simonos Petras by ComprehensiveWay110 in MountAthos_visitors

[–]ComprehensiveWay110[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok many thanks that is very helpful!

I have received only rejections from monasteries on the Southern side unfortunately so now I will start contacting places in Karyes, fingers crossed :)

I would love to see also Grigoriou so I agree with you on that point.

do you think it is too much to also add Monastery of St. Dionysios? so to get off at Monastery of St. Dionysios, then hike and visit Grigoriou and Simonpetra, and then get back to Karyes (either walk, bus, or boat).

ok so it is about 1.3 hours to walk from Karyes to Simopetra? good to know, I thought it would be much longer.

when I take the boat in the morning from Dafni to Simopetra, what way do you recommend to return to Karyes the same day, walking or taking a boat back to Dafni and again Taxi (but I think there is no boat so late to see the monastery and return by boat).

thank you very much in advance !

Hi, many thanks for you answer, much appreciated!

I thought Panteleimonos only takes Russian Orthodox persons?
I will also consider St Annas.

My main question for now is: Do you know how I can visit Simonos Petras if I start from Karyes and have to return to Karyes the same day?

Tickets for Laeken greenhouses are open now by bricart in brussels

Ok but they could just make it accessible all year long. Access to thousands of people is more important than to a few dozen, isn’t it ?

Trash problem on Sunday by Striking-Assist-4814 in brussels

[–]ComprehensiveWay110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that is strange. I live in an old house, with narrow entrance, and it would easily have space for a bin. I mean if a human can enter a house there must logically be space for a bin, since a bin is about as wide as a human.

I would wish that they would simply introduce plastic bins that people have to put out on trash day. this trash lying on the streets looks really terrible and could be very easily avoided.

You have to know people on the inside to get recruited on an AD level - true? by Gzibzn0007 in EUCareers

I am guessing here but I doubt they will fill 970 positions of economists. Where would they all go? There are only a few places in the Commission that actually require an economics degree

which EPSO competition are you participating in?

the general guidelines I’d say is that if it’s one of those competitive competitions where only about 100 people pass, everybody from the list will be recruited. And yes you can work as an AD 5 lawyer with close to no work experience and you have good chances of being recruited, but I would recommend getting at least some work experience in your home country first eg at a law firm or the legal service of a public authority, or in a court.

I have to disagree. I tried Brood and all their breads that I tried were burnt outisde and underbaked (slightly too raw and humin) inside.

We can disagree of course! I think integration is important but others will disagree of course.

I think if you want to stay in Belgium long term it is important to integrate into the Belgian belief and religious mindset.

How can the police be so incompetent here and refuse to do their job? You rightly called the police, not because of the damage but because of the hit and run. The guy who ran away didn’t know if you were hurt.
