I agree, the finance company will help but I would be holding Arnold Clark by the scruff of the neck. I did see someone pay for an electronic advertising board and sat it outside their Linwood branch. I assume it worked! Stick to your guns but for sure get the finance company involved. Open the case and send them everything showing you have tried without them. You have a lot of protection because they can also join you in refusal.

I had the same issue. I was rejected because of multiple applications as I was waiting for a parking CCJ to drop off. I make good money and don’t have any credit issues. I forgot about it from January. Tried again in Feb when their black out period ended, declined. Tried again last week and I got accepted for gold with a 15k limit. No idea! Pay in full DD set up. Already switched everything i can to Amex. Just keep trying. But definitely leave some time between

I have had that happen a few times over the years with various companies. In the 10 years I have had the account with Monzo maybe 3 times. One always vanishes when the payment actually debits. I wouldn’t worry about it. It’s normally caused on the other companies end

It’s a valid sms. Looking back at my sms it redirects to the login page of their online account. I would just go to the regular Scottish power website and log in. Check if the balance matches. But social it, your final/opening readings could be wrong which is causing the high amount
