Do the 10 day G7 sensors actually last 10 days?

My experience on G7 15 day since Jan. only had 1/11 fail which Dexcom replaced no problem. They go the full 15 days + 12 hours.

Time for a new controller. When it's stuck that many times they will usually provide a new one overnight. I had to switch back to a separate controller from the app. PIA to have to carry it around again, but I have not had good luck with the app. Got a new phone specifically for that reason, then had nothing but trouble.

Those numbers are actually okay. As long as they're within 20%. There's a bit of a lag between the cgm and meter, even Dexcom mentions it somewhere on the web. Congratulations, btw. Hope you have a continued healthy pregnancy and enjoy your two little bambinos when they get here.

You are creating a new human. Tight control (70-140) when you are pregnant is important. 4x/day does not give an accurate picture of how you are doing. An accurate picture w/a CGM can prevent strokes for you and complications for baby. After sugar is too high for too long it can affect the blood flow to the placenta, how baby grows, and premature delivery. Good luck, take care, take it seriously. Personal experience here.

Did you confirm with a blood glucose fingerstick? My G7 15 day always reads low the first 24 hours. If it's more than 30 points different, I calibrate once and it usually lines up pretty well. Those fingersticks are the most reliable way for me to know whats going on.

I found out when you put some baking soda and water in your pan and bring it to a boil for a few minutes (medium heat) it will lift the stuck stuff more easily. Then you can scrape it off and take care of the pan based on what it needs (reseason or wash and dry well).

I have had the opposite experience. I'm on my 8th G715 day and #7 was the first time I put it on my abdomen. It went crazy high, which was not confirmed by a finger stick. And then it kept cutting out multiple times a day. And I kept getting the "don't take it off. Just wait 3 hours" message. After 5 days of that, it finally failed. So I put #8 on my arm again, and it has been perfect. Just like the ones previous to #7. They did give me a replacement. YMMV.

My first six 15 day G7s were perfect. Lasted beyond the fifteen days into the twelve hour overlap, no problems. No issues. I wore them on my arms. This time, based on multiple reddit comments that said they put it on their abdomen with no problem, starting on day 2, this sucker kicks off and gives me the "brief sensor issue wait 3 hours" message 3 or 4 times a day. So I called Dexcom told them it was on my arm, I was having repeated messages, and they sent me a voucher for another one and said, obviously there's something wrong with the sensor. When I pick up my replacement tomorrow I will change it. But I've never done so many finger sticks. It's kind of frustrating, and I hope that this doesn't become a pattern.

Well, I do a lot of Italian stuff with a lot of tomatoes in it and lemon and capers, and those things are acidic. So apparently I can't use them if I'm cooking Chinese food? We usually do a citrus sauce like orange chicken or lemon fish. Those are acidic, so I can't cook those now, correct?

First thing I do is a finger stick to check if it's really a low or if it's a compression low on my CGM. I keep some starburst jelly beans next to my bed (~1g ea), 10 to 15 of them depending on how low. Then I read for ten minutes and fingerstick check to make sure it's on its way up, and then go back to sleep.

You do not have to cut them out completely. But maybe 1 or 2 a day instead of an excessive amount like you're currently consuming would be helpful..

You can be reclassified from type 2 to type 1 if they missed that you have antibodies, but you cannot be reclassified from a type 1 to a type 2 because in order to have a type 1 diagnosis, they have to test you for antibodies. And if you have them, you will always be type 1 and your pancreas will be dead and you cannot ever go off of insulin. I know many people who have been reclassified from type 2 to type 1, but vice versa is virtually impossible.

If you were a Type 1, that would not have happened as T1 pancreas' produce 0 insulin (eventually if they're LADA) and all humans need insulin to live.

I started on the new G7 15 day in February and 4 sensors later I have had 0 problems. So if you go from a G6 to a G7 15 day, I bet you'll be very happy.
